As the fresh-faced son of Corrie’s Gail Platt in the late Nineties, Adam Rickitt made his acting debut with his heartthrob status leading him onto a pop career – these days he runs his own business and looks very different

He was the second actor to take on the part of Nick Tilsley in Coronation Street when he joined the ITV soap in 1997 and it was a role Adam Rickitt was to make his own.

Quickly securing heartthrob status among fans of the show, the star went on to forge a pop career, which often saw him shirtless and flexing his muscles. He returned to acting after his foray into music and starred in a number of other successful soaps.

These days the 47 year old, who was recently left devastated at the tragic death of his mother, enjoys a settled life with his wife and their two dogs. The couple run their own business and thanks to their love of travel have just bought a second home abroad. Here we take a look at Rick’s ever-changing image throughout the last three decades.
