Tech giant Currys is offering its Black Friday prices early, meaning you can claim some serious bargains before Christmas. From TVs and gaming consoles to mobile phones and kitchen appliances, there are plenty of deals with massive reductions.
Big-name brands like Apple, Dyson, Ninja and Sony are in the huge line-up of discounted products available to browse online. With electronics and home appliances often costing a pretty penny, now is an ideal time to look at crossing things off your Christmas list or just treating yourself with some items getting hundreds shaved off the original price.
Thanks to Currys’ Price Promise, customers can also rest assured they’re getting the best price on offer, as Currys has promised to price match any other UK retailer if customers claim within seven days. Shoppers are still able to spread the cost with the reduced price tags.
TVs
Discounts on TVs can vary massively on Black Friday, depending on the features you go for as well as the actual size of the device too. At Currys, some TVs have been reduced by hundreds of pounds.
Opting for a Smart TV will allow you to take advantage of streaming apps like Netflix, Disney Plus and Amazon Prime Video without needing to have lots of extra wires poking out of the TV. The Hisense E7N PRO 55 inch QLED 4K HDR Smart Freely TV is a large yet affordable options, priced at £549.00 after a £550 discount is applied.
One reviewer claimed it was the “best for gaming” while others enjoyed the “crisp sound quality” and “sleek look”. But, some did experience issues with the TV having “a confusing interface” or simply “breaking after a few days”.
Depending on your space, you might want something smaller (or bigger). The smaller LG 43UR75006LK is 43 inches and is £80 cheaper to buy today with a £249 price tag, down from £329, while the 65 inch SAMSUNG DU7100 is reduced from £599 to £499.
Alternatively, Amazon currently has the Hisense 65 Inch 4K QLED Smart TV 65E7NQTUK on sale for £579, down from £899. Online retailer Very is stocking the Hisense 55A6NTUK, 55-inch, 4K HDR, Smart TV for £309, down from £579.
Laptops
Apple is a major brand in the computer industry, and the iconic MacBook laptop is part of the huge Black Friday sale. Currys has the 13.6″ MacBook Air with 256GB on offer for £849, down from £996.
Happy customers have claimed it has a long battery life that “lasts for days” and is “very sleek and lightweight”, making it ideal to carry around for work or school. Some have claimed that shoppers get “what you would expect from Apple product”.
A few did have issues with the device, though, as one shared: “As a student, I got a lot of apps open, and it gets hot and starts lagging after using for a while.” Another added that they found the device could “overheat” if running lots of “extensive tasks”.
More options are available, such as the LENOVO Yoga Slim 6 14″ Laptop, down from £799 to £499. Also, customers could opt for the HP ENVY x360 14-fc0501na 14″ 2 in 1 Laptop, marked down for Black Friday from £1,099 to £599.
Alternatively, Amazon currently has the Acer Chromebook 314 CB314-3H Laptop on sale for £199.99, down from £249.99. Very has the HP Stream 14s-dq0034na Laptop for £159, down from £259.
