Allen’s topsy-turvy career has been marked by a failure to perform on the big stage but a stoppage victory over Johnny Fisher earlier this year suggested he has turned a corner. And if he can defeat his Russian rival in front of 8,000 fans in Sheffield tonight, Allen could set himself up for a mega-fight with Detonay Wilder.
