Debenhams shoppers said they “feel amazing” when wearing the popular designer dress
Debenhams shoppers are praising a “stunning” mini dress they’ve quickly snapped up online. The online retailer is known for offering on-trend fashion and homeware at discounted prices – and one dress might just be a new crowd pleaser.
The retailer is selling a designer dress at a very reduced price, giving shoppers the chance to get a high-end look for much less. Debenhams is stocking the Coast Party Sequin Velvet Wrap Mini Dress, which has dropped from £199 to £55.
The black velvet dress is available in sizes eight to 18, though it is worth noting a number of sizes are sold out. The retailer has noted online that the product is hand-wash only.

For those looking for a new go-to little black dress, ASOS is stocking the Princess Polly satin plunge tie front satin mini dress for £54. River Island also has the Black Textured Halter Neck Mini Dress for £36, while New Look stocks the Black Sleeveless Puffball Micro Mini Dress, priced at £31.99.

Online, the Debenhams dress has an overall rating of 4.4 stars. Among the reviews, one person said: “Stunner. Absolutely stunning quality dress. The gorgeous embellishments make it a heavy dress.”

However, some shoppers did mention issues they’d experienced with the dress, particularly about the fit. While still praising the product, one person said: “Beautiful Dress! The embroidery and beadwork really is stunning and the dress is amazing quality for the price!
“Only issue is the cut of the sleeve mixed with the embroidery means it’s really tight on the top of the arm – would definitely be an issue if you wanted to throw some shapes. Otherwise though, it’s gorgeous!”
Another wrote: “Comes up small. Gorgeous dress but comes up small. The skirt is panelled in a way that means it’ll go around but the pattern is blocked off with plain black and looks a bit weird / is deviously too small. Suggest buying a size up!”
