It’s one of the best streaming deals this week, as Disney+ drops its tariff to £1.99 per month but it won’t be around for long

Disney+ wowed streaming fans earlier this month by bringing back its mega £1.99 offer, a sale which cuts the price of its plan to arguably the cheapest series, movie, and documentary binge-watching deal around. While it’s caught many cost-scrimping viewers’ attention, those wanting to bag the bargain only have a few days left.

Its whirlwind price cut ends this Friday, September 27, so streamers only have a few days left to catch the deal before it rises back up in price. Usually £4.99 per month, its ‘Standard with Ads’ plan can be locked into for a stunning £1.99 per month instead.

It means anyone who beats the looming deadline will catch the £1.99 price for three months, so fans can binge-watch their favourite family films, series and thrillers until the end of December. That’s Halloween horrors and cosy festive films both covered for a much cheaper rate.

Plus, if you’re savvy enough you can cancel the plan before the end of the three-month term, before the price goes back to its usual £4.99 rate. It’s one of the main reasons our team has had the Disney+ deal on our list – the free trial comes with no exit fee.

If you’re weighing up whether the sparkly streaming site has the right series, films, and documentaries for you (that’s your cup of tea) then we have all the latest on the things to watch. Tonight, Tuesday, September 4 and 5th there’s a brand new episode of Only Murders in the Building. Staring Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Jackie Hoffman and celebs including Cara Delevigne this will be one for all true crime fans out there.

There’s also a huge selection of series exclusively available to the site, so if you didn’t pay its monthly subscription or sign up for its £1.99 trial you won’t be able to stream favourites like The Bear, Welcome to Wrexham, Marvel Studios’ Loki, or Taylor Swift The Eras Tour – UK dates may well and truly be over but this means fans don’t have to go without.

Then of course there are a handful of long running series classics available to tap into while in the UK – like personal favourite Grey’s Anatomy. Yes, this medical drama has been running for decades and all seasons are available on the streaming site. Plus, ABC announced its season 21 release US release date is set for this September 26, and it’s set to follow in the UK on Disney+ soon.

So, if you fancy adding another streaming site to your apps list (be it on your smart TV, phone or tablet) Disney’s time-ticking £1.99 deal may be the best time to test it out. Of course, if you don’t fancy the ads there is always its other £7.99 per-month Standard plan and the £10.99 Premium plan to choose – although, these don’t have any free trial perks as we speak.

The priciest Premium plan comes bundled with Dolby Atmos support and 4K UHD & HDR quality streaming, not available on the two other plans this quality will be a no brainer for many streaming buffs. A top tip, if you lock into a full year plan upfront you will pay £109.90 overall for this instead of the total £131.88 if you picked the £10.99 monthly subscription.

Of course, Disney+ isn’t the only streaming site we’d recommend with Amazon Prime Video and Paramount Plus also on our list. Both of which are running similar free-trial style deals, Amazon for 30days and Paramount+ for seven.

Elsewhere, Sky is still offering is one-month free trial of its popular Sky Stream, TV, and Netflix bundle, another cosy TV deal for viewers as we approach autumn and winter. Of course this is more expensive, at £31 per month after the free trial, but it’s added TV channels beats Disney+’s streaming only approach.

The Sky Stream box, allows viewers to watch TV via WiFi rather than a traditional satellite dish or aerial and is the same software that can be found integrated in Sky’s fancy Glass TV set.
