Thames Valley Police have launched a wanted appeal for James Doran, 23, who is frequently seen around Leicestershire – he is wanted in connection to a sex attack

Police are hunting for a man with one eye after a young girl was allegedly raped – prompting a “do not approach” warning.

James Doran, 23, from Kindlington, Oxfordshire, is wanted in connection to the alleged sexual assault of a teenage girl. The suspected crime is said to have taken place in the town of Banbury on August 11.

Thames Valley Police have launched an urgent appeal in a bid to trace Doran, who is known to frequently visit Leicestershire. He also has several links to north Oxfordshire and south Warwickshire areas. He also has links to Hillingdon in London.

He has been described as a white male, with short ginger/brown hair, a ginger/brown beard and is missing his right eye. Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Becky Sargeant, is pleading for anyone with information to get in touch.

She said: “We are urgently appealing for the public’s help in locating James Doran. Anyone with information about his current whereabouts should call 999. It is important that if you see him, please do not approach him, and instead call 999.

“If you have any other information on the whereabouts of James Doran please call 101 or make a report online, quoting reference 43250409668. Or if you do not wish to speak to the police you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, who will take your information 100% anonymously.”
