Erik Ten Hag is under immense pressure at Manchester United and Domino’s have trolled the Dutchman as the restaurant chain look to hire new staff

Domino’s has humorously taken a swipe at Erik Ten Hag, as the Manchester United manager continues to face mounting pressure.

The pizza chain cheekily mocked the Dutchman by parking a van outside Old Trafford with the message: ‘We’re hiring (not you, Erik)’.

This comes amidst ongoing speculation about his future at the club following a series of disappointing results.

A spokesperson for Domino’s commented: “Based on his performance, it can’t be too long before Ten Hag is given the sack.”

“We are gearing up for our busiest time of year where we need people to join our team.”

“We are looking for people who are results-driven… so not one for Ten Hag unfortunately.”

The 54 year old’s role as United manager is under scrutiny after a lacklustre 0-0 draw against Aston Villa on Sunday.

This follows a 3-3 draw against Porto midweek, where Man United squandered a 2-0 lead to the Portuguese team, and a 3-0 thrashing at home to Tottenham Hotspur.

The goalless draw against Villa leaves the Red Devils floundering in 14th place in the Premier League – the club’s worst start to a season.

Key decision makers at Manchester United are scheduled to meet on Tuesday, with Ten Hag’s future hanging in the balance.
