‘Easy to use’ Shark vacuum cut by 40% in sale – it has strong suction for carpets

Amazon has cut the price of a popular Shark vacuum, which users say is easy to use, has strong power, and comes with different floor modes

Shark is well-known for its brilliant vacuums and other devices, and now a new deal on Amazon means shoppers can get a “brilliant” vacuum for only £139.99.

The Shark Upright Corded Vacuum cleaner is 40 per cent off on Amazon for a limited time – and compared to its usual RRP of £229.99, it might be an offer too good to ignore.

The Shark vacuum comes with two floor modes so users can switch between carpet and hard floor modes with controls on the handle. Shark also claims that it captures 99.9% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum, not releasing them back into the air.

It’s also great for those with pets as it comes with a Pet Tool, Crevice Tool and Upholstery Tool attachments. There’s a long 8m power cord so Brits can reach into hard-to-reach places and around the home.

Shark provides a five-year warranty on the device so if anything goes wrong, they will replace it free of charge – as long as they register it with Shark.

And for those who want alternatives, Amazon’s Avalsor Cordless Vacuum Cleaner can be reduced to £103.99 with a coupon on the product page, though it may not offer the same cleaning power as the Shark Stratos. Elsewhere, the Hoover HF4 Hydro Pet Cordless Vacuum Cleaner With Anti Hair Wrap for £219 provides both vacuuming and mopping capabilities in one device, thanks to its interchangeable brush and mop heads.

The Shark vacuum has a 4.6-star rating out of five stars on Amazon. One reviewer said: “Very happy with the product. I had never used a fancy vacuum cleaner like this one, having only used classical ones in the past (e.g., Henry or similar).

“I had to find a vacuum cleaner that would fit behind the door in my room due to space constraints. Being detachable, I’m storing the base part separately and the upright part behind the door, so the door can open properly.

“This way, I have it easily accessible as well. Just grab the two pieces, put them together in one click, and vacuum. In a maximum of 5 minutes, I’m done cleaning the carpet in my room.

“It has strong suction, and the rotating brush is brilliant. It’s light enough for me to manoeuvre easily. It is also very versatile and can be used in many setups, reaching into my drawers and not easily accessible corners and spots. It is just perfect. Some shoppers had some problems with the size of the dust bag. One reviewer added: “I really like the shark, it has no problem picking up the dog hair, and there’s lots as I have three large dogs. It’s versatile, and I love how you can take the container off the bottom bit to do the stairs easily.

“The little pet hair tool makes doing the stairs a doddle as it easily picks up dog hair. Neither rotation tool seems to get clogged up with dog hair either. But I have a couple of gripes, the container which holds the dust/dog hair is not big enough, so I’m emptying it very frequently.”
