Manchester United take on Tottenham Hotspur in the final of the Europa League on Wednesday evening, and the Glazer family are out in force in Bilbao for the clash
Some eight members of the Glazer family are in attendance in Bilbao for Manchester United’s Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur.
Despite recently celebrating 20 years in charge of the Red Devils, the Glazers are still deeply unpopular in Manchester due to the debt that has been heaped upon the club during their time in charge, as well as a lack of progress in redeveloping Old Trafford.
The family very rarely attend home matches due to security concerns, but they are out in force in the Basque Country where they will hope to see United win the second Europa League title of their time in charge, and third European trophy.
According to a VIP list seen by the Daily Mail, co-owner Joel Glazer and co-chairman Avram Glazer are enjoying the plush surroundings of the VIP suite, where they can enjoy food prepared by Michelin star chefs, along with six other members of their family – Aerin, Ed, Shari, Kendall, Jill and Libby.

Minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is also unsurprisingly seated in the VIP section, along with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy who will be desperate to see Spurs end their 17-year trophy drought in Bilbao.
Other names on the list include the former United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, and forward Dimitar Berbatov who also played for Spurs.
Speaking to TNT Sports before the match, the Bulgarian admitted his loyalties were split down the middle. He said: “I am torn for sure… And ultimately, I’m going to be happy for the team that’s going to win, but I’m going to be sad for the one that loses, because I play for both teams.”
Ex-Spurs stars Ledley King and Gary Mabbutt are also in the VIP section, as well as Liverpool’s 2005 Champions League winning manager Rafael Benitez and ex-Nottingham Forest and Leicester boss Steve Cooper.
Portugal legend Luis Figo is also on the list, while the English FA are represented by president Debbie Hewitt and chief executive Mark Bullingham, and Premier League chief Richard Masters and PFA CEO Maheta Molango are also at the game.
Crystal Palace co-owner John Textor is also in attendance fresh from seeing the Eagles win the FA Cup and qualify for next season’s Europa League, while former Ireland goalkeeper Packie Bonner is also on the VIP list.
