Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has mugged herself off by failing to plan fully for her Christmas Day celebrations – but has taken to socials to share her cautionary tale

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has warned fans not to make the same mistake as she has – as her Christmas celebrations face ruin.

The 30-year-old Love Island reality star is excited for Christmas and has been updating her fans on her preparations. However, the former Love Island winner has revealed she got caught out with her planning – and failed to secure some Christmas Day essentials with only hours left before the big day.

Taking to Instagram Stories on Christmas Eve, Ekin-Su outed herself as a less than perfect planner as she had a last minute mad dash around the shops to get some forgotten items. But the star was left aghast when she walked through supermarkets that showed empty shelves – and was devastated when she was unable to find any luxury Christmas crackers.

In a video warning to fans, she explained: “So, I keep leaving things last minute, like myself. It’s the day before Christmas, getting bits and bobs and everyone is in here. It’s really busy.” She panned around a supermarket to show that there were many empty shelves and food sections, while other shoppers searched the aisles behind her.

She then revealed her biggest error – not buying crackers in advance. She whined: “Children, take note. Do not leave things last minute, because I’ve come in to look for Christmas crackers and the s**t ones are left. I mean, that does not look great. There’s nothing else left, so… yeah! I went to M&S, none. Morrisons… [shakes head].”

Ekin-Su could soon find herself far away from home comforts as it has been suggested she will be participating in the second season of Love Island: All Stars in South Africa next month. The star won the eighth series of the ITV2 reality show in 2022 alongside now ex-boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti, 29.

She later appeared on Celebrity Big Brother at the beginning of this year where she damaged her own public image by acting in a certain fashion by constantly berating her other celebrity co-stars for undermining her as nothing more than a Love Island contestant – when they rarely mentioned the ITV show themselves. It is suggested she may return to the villa next month in an effort to repair her image.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Ekin-Su had been approached to star on the new season of the show – with the hope she would bring the drama. According to MailOnline, Ekin-Su’s “deal is agreed in principle, there’s still some details to sort out”. The fact that she is currently single has fuelled hopes she could return to the villa in order to find a lasting form of love.

Other contestants rumoured to be returning to Love Island for the next All Stars season include Paige Thorne from Season 8, Lucinda Strafford from Season 7, Scott Thomas from season 2, and Luca Bish – who was also in season 8.
