You can now get a Big Mac or McNugget Meal while dancing the night away at this stunning McDonald’s restaurant in Europe, where return flights cost as little as £28

Ba-da-ba-ba-ba, the DJ’s lovin’ it. It’s not every day you can stumble into a McDonald’s in the early hours of the morning, try and sober up with the help of some fries and a Big Mac, all why keeping the rave going.

But, that’s exactly what punters and customers are doing at one fast-food outlet in Europe. Located just two hours from the UK in the popular tourist destination of Budapest, Hungary, the Yugati Lounge McDonald’s has rebranded itself as a nightclub complete with DJ sets and light displays. Every Friday and Saturday, the burger-flipper site turns into a party hotspot from 10pm until 4am.

It has been widely reported that the concept was only supposed to run until the end of 2024, but is now slated to continue throughout 2025. ‘Light paintings’ are cast onto the restaurant’s roof, creating an ultra-unique immersive experience – with themes varying from the depths of the sea to rainforests and even a starry night sky.

Originally opened in 1990, the McDonald’s store resides in a part of the railway station which was built in 1877, by the same company that later constructed the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. So, in the day you’ll feel extremely regal as you sip on your Mcafe Caramel Latte, and by night you can unleash your wild side with a McNugget or two to keep you going.

Taking to social media, hundreds of impressed travellers have hailed the concept – with one person on TikTok branding it the ‘coolest McDonald’s’ in the world. “This is my formal request for McDonald’s to implement this in every location,” they said.

Another agreed, commenting: “This is such a vibe! Wish I could go!” while a third added: “That is so cool.” However, not everybody was impressed with the McNightclub. “It’s an interesting experience to try once, but honestly, I found it a bit overrated,” one visitor named Elizabeth said. “The concept of eating burgers while listening to a DJ set is a little strange. That said, the visual effects and music are amazing!”

If you want to head over to Budapest to experience the McDonald’s for yourself, you can fly direct from most major UK airports – including Belfast, Liverpool, London, Manchester, and Leeds. If you’re flexible with dates, you can grab return flights in February for as little as £28 (just make sure you take enough pocket money for your Big Mac Meal).
