Use all of your favourite Christmas dinner trimmings to create a healthy festive gyros that you’ll want ‘immediately’

Supermarkets, restaurants and cafes have been lined with various festive treats for weeks, but sometimes, nothing can taste better than a homemade goodie. Instead of your regular Christmas sarnie, one food creator has shared a healthy wrap packed full of festive flavours.

TikToker Christina, also known as the Very Hungry Greek, gave her recipe for a festive gyros with all the trimmings, including its own pig in blanket, turkey, gravy and cranberry sauce. The foodie also uses an air fryer to whip the meal, making it a quick and easy recipe to complete. Christina’s recipe can be done in under 15 minutes.

In a TikTok video from earlier this month, Christina wrote: “Let’s kick-start this series with a serious banger. Pigs in blankets, turkey coated in rich chicken gravy, cranberry sauce AND skin on fries.”

And if you’re keeping your health in mind, Christina shared the recipe’s nutritional information. The gyros boast 50 grams of protein, 13 grams of fibre and 53 grams of carbohydrates. Each wrap has a total of 545 calories.

Christina’s video has been viewed over 279,900 times, at the time of writing. Festive food fans were wowed by her creation.

Chef Bobby commented: “It’s only missing stuffing, but I’d 100% destroy this! Perfect for Christmas leftovers.”

Hannah agreed, “That looks incredible,” while another said, “Want to make this immediately!!”

Katie suggested: “And some Brie too!”

So if you want to continue the Christmas spirit with some inventive festive food, this is what you’ll need.
