Explore the deep blue with experts and get up close and personal with some mighty toothsome creatures this half term – we had the best time doing this one specific thing

There’s something fishy going on at a sea life centre this half term – and you’re promised a really jaw-some time if you swim along for a nosey.

The National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham has brought back a popular experience this half term for little ones, and their curious adults too of course, and there’s one specific thing on everyone’s hit list.

The event is free to enjoy, as part of your entrance ticket cost, and for marine life fans this event is extra special because there are unique guests that visitors can get up close and personal with.

Little ones ever wondered how many teeth a shark has? Maybe they’ve quizzed you over your morning cornflakes on what would happen if you ever come face-to-face with one?

From now until March 2, families can enjoy an expert chat with the venue’s resident marine biologist and get answers to those very specific questions, plus find out exactly what it’s like to get closer than ever before.

Black Tip Reef Sharks are in abundance in the UK’s only 360-degree ocean tunnel and your lovely lot can enjoy a stroll through to see these incredible apex predators, plus they’ll also marvel at the majestic green turtles, graceful rays, and a kaleidoscope of other tropical fish swimming overhead and beneath their feet. This one-of-a-kind experience will make children and adults feel like their swimming alongside the ocean’s finest.

Don’t forget to pick up a Sharklife trail card, too. This extra fun bonus will have your little ones hunting for fun shark teeth treasures along the way.

National SEA LIFE Centre Birmingham’s General Manager Amy Langham said, “We are excited to welcome families and friends to the centre this February half term for a fin-flipping experience that will leave you fascinated about the ocean’s wonders while you make memories that are sure to last a lifetime!

“Head on over to National SEA LIFE Centre Birmingham for an unforgettable Sharklife adventure this February half term.”

Tickets start from £25 when booked in advance.

And if all that deep sea diving has made the family hungry then head over to Prezzo for a delicious deal.

We headed here as a family of five and thoroughly enjoyed the Kids Eat Free deal running from now until March 2.

The kids can enjoy a delicious three-course meal for absolutely free, provided they’re 12 and under. It’s the perfect way to unwind for less as part of your busy half-term plans.
