A TikTok user has shown you can clean your windows at home and leave them sparkling using a simple hack that is cheap and doesn’t involve using typical window cleaning brands
A woman has told of an “incredible” hack that will leave your windows “streak free” after cleaning.
Everyone knows that it is not an easy task to clean windows and leave them sparkling without marks but a TikTok user has shown a cheap way to do it without using a spray.
Instead of using a standard window cleaner @thecleanupcompany demonstrated rubbing on Fairy washing up liquid. She was seen putting it on a cloth and then rubbing it on the windows.
And then by wiping off the liquid it left the windows looking sparkling. She stated: “The best cleaning hack ever so to clean windows you don’t need no window cleaner (sic).
“All you need is Fairy liquid, it’s literally incredible as you can see on this windows there are a couple of marks on them so what I do, I damp my cloth put a fair amount of Fairy liquid on it and then I mush it up, there are no cuts on this recording you can see how this hack works.
“You just rub all that Fairy liquid onto the window (…) and then you just rub it off with a dry cloth and look at the results, like how fast does that work, you can also use this hack for you bathroom shower screens, your mirrors, shiny glossy tiles, anything with a shiny surface this works absolutely brilliantly.”
She told how she will never need to use specific window cleaning brands again. “It’s absolutely incredible I will never use standard window cleaner again as this just works absolutely incredibly, streak free, how did I not know about this hack before,” she added.
Many people have commented on the video with some people thanking her for the hack and others have suggested other cleaning tricks. One person wrote: “I use this now instead of bathroom cleaner on all sinks, showers, doors etc the shine on sinks and baths is incredible and cuts through grime so easily.” Another person said: “Stops condensation as well.”
A further comment read: “I use washing liquid and water, buff with newspaper, don’t clean them when it’s sunny… tip from my grandma who would now be 127 if she was still alive.”
While other people responded saying how useful white vinegar can be for cleaning windows. “I do the same but add white vinegar for that extra sparkle,” said one person and another stated: “Can’t beat white vinegar” and added “dilute with water”.
