The Princess of Wales was spotted in a pair of navy raffia wedges from the high street brand during her tour of North America and now you can get a similar pair for a fraction of the price

Kate Middleton is well-known for her stylish accessories and the royal often chooses shoes that combine fashion with comfort. Despite having a wardrobe filled with designer items, she frequently wears high-street brands, including Dune.

During her North American tour in 2016, Kate was seen sporting a pair of navy raffia wedges from Dune. The Imperia wedges have since been discontinued, but we’ve found a very similar pair on sale. Originally priced at £85, the Cadance Sling-Back Raffia Wedges are now more than half price at just £42. That’s a better deal than the same pair of heels on sale for £59 at Marks and Spencer.

Available in sizes three to eight, they share the same navy colourway, raffia heel and sling-back style as Kate’s shoes and could be considered an updated version of the same model. The heel measures 8cm, providing a nice amount of height and helping to lengthen your legs. If you’re concerned about comfort, wearer reviews describe these ‘elegant shoes’ as ‘very comfortable’ and ‘ideal for many different events’.

The toe shape has been described as ‘flattering’ and, as they lack a buckle – one of the few differences from Kate’s original pair – you can easily slip them on and off. One shopper said: “I’m really pleased with my purchase. The delivery was fast, and the shoes are not only comfortable but also of great quality. The neutral color makes them versatile, perfect for pairing with almost any outfit. Highly recommend!”

Some shoppers have grown so fond of their footwear that they’re on their third pair, sharing in their excitement about nabbing them with a whopping £43 discount in the Dune sale. Not all reviews were glowing, however, one customer mentioned: “My only issue is they are a bit squeaky, which isn’t an issue in social situations but is a bit annoying at work.”

For those not keen on navy, they are available in Blush for the same steal of £42. And for fans of Marks and Spencer’s cosy shoe range, you won’t want to miss out on the Celtic and Co. Suede Ankle Strap Wedge Espadrilles retailing at £129. Elsewhere, consider White Stuff’s Suede Closed Espadrille Wedges, priced at £69 and touted as ‘very comfortable to wear all day at work’.
