A 14-year-old girl has tragically died after allegedly undergoing an unauthorised breast enlargement operation which her dad says he did not know about.

Paloma Nicole Arellano Escobedo passed away in hospital a week after the surgery and her cause of death was reportedly marked as complications due to a respiratory illness. Her father Carlos Arellano claims a breast enlargement was to blame and he is demanding an investigation as he says the operation was carried out without his knowledge.

Carlos claims he only found out at her funeral after allegedly discovering she had breast implants and scars. He said: “Her death certificate falsely stated ‘illness’ as the cause of death in an attempt to cover up the truth.”

Paloma passed away in hospital in the city of Durango, Mexico, on Saturday, September 20, as reported by NeedToKnow. Carlos said he is suspicious of how quickly his daughter’s death certificate was prepared.

He stated: “They gave it to us right away, I don’t know how they did it so quickly.” The certificate showed the cause of death as cerebral edema due to a respiratory illness.

After the funeral the following day, Carlos filed the complaint when he realised there was more behind his daughter’s “suffering” and death. He claimed there was a “cover-up,” and added: “I demand that all those responsible be investigated.” The Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that they are investigating.

Meanwhile, a heartbroken husband paid tribute to his “beautiful” wife who died in June just hours after undergoing plastic surgery in Turkey.

Ana Bárbara Buhr Buldrini travelled to Turkey, alongside Elgar Miles from their home in Mozambique, to undergo a breast augmentation, liposuction and a nose job. But the 31-year-old singer went into cardiac arrest shortly after the procedures at Tusa Hospital in Istanbul and tragically died.

Mr Miles, who only married Mrs Buldrini a month beforehand, said it was his wife’s dream to “improve her aesthetic standards”. Allegedly receiving the procedures in return for promoting Tusa Hospital, the couple are said to have partied with the physician doing the surgeries in Istanbul on Saturday night.

According to Mr Miles, who is an artist himself, his wife was taken into surgery earlier than scheduled, just two days after an initial consultation. “‘Due to scheduling issues, the surgeon decided to bring it forward to Sunday,” he said. “We went to the clinic on Sunday just to see the place, but the doctor wanted to perform the procedure without Ana being prepared.”

Despite allegedly being out the night before, Mr Miles claims his wife was persuaded to go ahead. “The doctor assured me that there were no problems and that everything would be fine,” he said. Mrs Buldrini underwent the procedures and was out of the operating room by 11pm Sunday. Her heart allegedly began to slow down, however, and Mr Miles noticed a change in the staff’s mood.

“They told me to go to the room, the assistants were acting strangely. I waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes to receive her,” he said. “I went down to the ground floor and a doctor said that her heart was beating slowly, another said that she was already dead.”
