The Google Pixel 10 launched last month but there’s a way for Google customers to get some great deals on Pixel 9s including free earbuds and smart watches
Google fans were eagerley anticipating the date for the launch of its new Pixel 10 smartphone, but a tempting offer from the tech giant might convince shoppers to stick with a slightly older model. Google’s annual Made by Google event happedned on 20 August in New York City, where it showcases its latest Pixel devices, including phones, watches and earbuds.
In the run-up to the event, the Pixel 9 range hit an all-time low price as retailers lured shoppers into snapping up the 2024 model. But despite the recently launched Pixel 10, one of our top picks for deals comes from Currys-backed retailer Mobiles.co.uk, which is throwing in free Google gadgets with orders of the Google Pixel 9.

Customers can bag themselves Pixel Buds A Series, Pixel Buds Pro 2 and a Pixel Watch 3 when signing up for select 24-month contracts. The Pixel Buds A are included with a selection of plans, including iD Mobile’s £24.99 per month deal, along with 100GB of data for a £59 upfront cost.
There’s also the choice to bump up the monthly cost to £27.99 to reduce the upfront cost to £9. However, this ends up being £22 pricier over the duration of the plan. For the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2, a standout deal is the iD Mobile £28.99 plan, with £9 upfront for 100GB of data.
Those favouring a complimentary Pixel Watch 3 (41mm) can go for iD Mobile’s £28.99 plan, offering 100GB with a £59 upfront cost. The free gift with each package will be delivered with the handset to the address given at checkout, however the offer is only available while stocks last.
It’s worth noting that iD Mobile – like most providers – will increase its prices every April alongside inflation. The company has already set out its changes, with the £24.99 plan rising to £26.49 from April 2026 and £27.99 from 1st April 2027.
When factoring in the £59 upfront fee, the overall sum paid across 24 months totals £715.76, though those preferring to purchase the handset outright can presently secure a better bargain elsewhere. That’s because an unlocked Google Pixel 9 256GB has dropped from £899 to £597 at Amazon – a whopping £302 reduction.
This represents the lowest price ever available for the device, according to price tracker camelcamelcamel. Sky Mobile presents another alternative, with the 128GB variant now priced at £21 when spreading the expense, plus £12 upfront.
Nevertheless, this requires a lengthier 36-month agreement and must be bought alongside a Sky data package, ranging from £0 for 100MB to £20 for unlimited. The Google Pixel 9 has garnered glowing feedback on Amazon, where it presently holds a 4.4-star rating, reports the Daily Record.
One delighted buyer commented: “Brilliant. The phone feels quality, and the build is excellent. The transfer of data from a Samsung S21 was simple. The camera is excellent. The OS is less fussy than Samsung.”
Another remarked: “Good all-round phone. Good, solid case. Clear screen with Android 14 but upgraded to 15. Includes Gemini AI software. Seems intuitive, but only time will tell how useful it is.”
However, the same user highlighted a drawback, noting: “The only criticism is that there is no SD card slot to increase memory. If you take and store a lot of photos, you will have to keep transferring to another memory medium.”
Yet another glowing five-star review read: “Excellent product. Has a sleek design and lightweight, lovely features and great value for money. It is also very easy to use.”
