With the January blues hitting many people after the fun of Christmas, many are on the hunt for something to cheer them up.
And although some people may be avoiding restaurants if they’re on a health kick, others will be looking for a chance to get out and about to bring some light into the dark and gloomy January days.
And if you’re the latter, you may want to listen up as people are going wild for bargain January set menu at none other than chef Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant.
News about the set menu deal at Gordon Ramsay’s Bar & Grill was shared over on @found_london’s Instagram account, which shared a reel about the Mayfair branch. Considering Mayfair is one of the most upscale districts in London, it makes the deal even more impressive.
The video showed scenes of the restaurant as overlay text read: “You won’t believe this £20 set menu in Mayfair.” The diner taking the video was seen eating various tasty looking dishes while enjoying a glass of wine.
The caption read: “I actually don’t think you will find a better priced meal in Mayfair! For just £20, @gordonramsaybarandgrill are offering a two course set menu this January. Or for an extra fiver, why not add a basque cheesecake!”
The Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Mayfair seasonal set menu features three starters to chose from, which are Cauliflower Veloute, Waldorf salad and Salmon Croquette. It also has three mains to chose from – Chicken Supreme, Vegan Cheeseburger and Poached Sea Bream.
For deserts, you can either go for a 70% Chocolate Brownie, Basque Cheesecake or Ice Cream & Sorbet Selection.
The set menu is £20 for two courses, or you can pay an extra £5 for the full three courses.
The restaurant, which describes itself as offering “steak, sushi and modern grill fare with Asian influences”, has 4/5 stars on Tripadvisor out of nearly 3,000 reviews.
One person raved: “Amazing service.. the best I’ve ever experienced, food was incredible, non alcoholic cocktails were so delicious.”
While another added: “Best Beef Wellington I’ve had in a long time. The appetisers were really yummy too, but small portions. Main courses were generous. Pasta dishes excellent too. Bar ambience but little too loud! Excellent service.”
A third chimed in: “Lovely food and very nice waiter. All in all a very nice evening.”
