A boatcarrying Greta Thunberg was last night set on fire as it headed towards Gaza on an aid mission.

Family Boat – transporting Greta and some 350 other activists and aid workers – was attacked by a drone during what they described as a “peaceful mission” to deliver supplies to Palestinians in Gaza. The flotilla’s Steering Committee – Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) – has, though, hit back, insisting: “Acts of aggression aimed at derailing our mission will not deter us.”

It is understood the boat carried many of the same people who were detained with Greta during an earlier attempt to reach Gaza in June. During this attempt, Greta, 22, pleaded for help when activists on Madleen were “intercepted and kidnapped” in international waters by the Israeli occupational forces.
