A mum of two has tragically died after undergoing liposuction surgery at a clinic that was already under investigation. The 38 year old shared a heartbreaking final post to her daughter before her untimely passing.

Sabrina Nardella underwent what she thought was a routine cosmetic procedure to remove excess fat from areas of her body. She went in for the liposuction at a clinic near Naples, Italy, at around 12.30pm, but just three hours later had died.

According to reports, Sabrina suddenly became unwell and died at 3.30pm from unknown complications.

In one of Sabrina’s last social media posts, she wished her daughter a happy 13th birthday. She also marked her own birthday with a touching post.

She wrote: “I hope my strength, patience and calmness remain unchanged – those very traits that have helped me face life with peace and confidence in the choices I’ve made.

“I can sum up what I’ve learned in life in two words: move forward.”

After her tragic death, Francesca, the former owner of the hairdressing company Sabrina had run, paid a touching tribute. She told local media: “She was a humble person, and I mourn her because she was truly a decent person. She had admirable willpower and calmness.”

Following Sabrina’s death on 24 April, the prosecutor’s office initiated an investigation. Two doctors, a nurse, and the medical director of the private clinic are reportedly now under scrutiny, each facing accusations of manslaughter with differing levels of responsibility.

Prosecutors hope the post-mortem report will determine whether any specific errors or instances of negligence were made. Sabrina opted for this particular clinic due to its affordability.

However, the clinic was said to already be under investigation for other suspected cases of medical malpractice. A doctor who had previously been associated with the clinic – and subsequently suspended – is reportedly connected to around 70 complaints.
