Some shoppers were amused at the discovery whilst others were mortified and said: “Nah stop it right now”

Home Bargains shoppers have claimed that an affordable electric toothbrush that recently hit shelves ‘looks like something completely different’. The hilarious find had dozens of online fans in stitches and others horrified.

The Bbrite Sonic is made for both home and travel use. However, customers claim they have noticed a secondary use for the dental brush.

After taking off the head, there is not the usual metal nub to attach a new one but a smoother shape. The words ‘vibrate’ are written on the packaging, and some Brits are starting to believe the product could double as something for the bedroom.

The toothbrush is on sale in the dental aisle at Home Bargains across the UK. It is priced at £2.99, as reported by What’s The Jam. There are multiple colours to choose from – including blue, bright pink and leopard print. Shoppers have had their say on the toothbrush.

Megan said: “I used to work at Home Bargains and we all used to have a giggle about these.”Siobhan Harley added: “Nah stop it right now. I put one of these in a self care hamper for a raffle, I’m mortified.” Jessica said: “Bit of an odd combo.”

Charlotte added: “Nah me and my daughter used these on holiday last week, I’m mortified. Was telling everyone what a good bargain it was.” Poppy said: “My nan bought me that for Christmas, but then I was mortified to find what was under the toothbrush head.”

Despite how viral this particular brush has gone, a swap from manual to electric might be worth considering. According to most dentists, an electric toothbrush is generally considered better than a manual toothbrush because it has been proved they are more effective at removing plaque, leading to improved overall oral health.

However, proper technique with a manual brush is still important. The NHS advises that everyone brushes their teeth with fluoride toothpaste twice a day for about two minutes to help keep their teeth and mouth healthy.

In other Home Bargains news, shoppers were impressed by a £4 ‘magic cream’ that claims to ‘plump and firm’ skin. Also, many were pleased to see the return of the ever-popular £8 wireless lamp that has gone viral and sold out every time it is added to shop shelves.

Home Bargains did not wish to comment when approached.
