Home Bargains has issued a large recall on a number of products that have been deemed unsafe for consumers to use, and the retailer is urging customers to check if they have any of the items
Home Bargains has issued a major recall on multiple products over safety concerns, urging customers to check the items they’ve purchased.
The retailer’s website details the reasons for the alarm surrounding these products. Customers who have purchased any of the recalled items are typically entitled to return them to the store for a refund. However, additional steps may be necessary depending on the product’s nature and usage status.
One of the recalled items is the ‘My First Drop and Roll Tower’ by manufacturer TJ Morris Ltd, sold at Home Bargains and Quality Saves stores. The toy poses a “potential risk of choking” because the rattling balls inside are smaller than health standards allow. Parents are advised to stop using the toy immediately and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
Another product being recalled is the ‘PIFCO Convector Heater with Turbo and Timer’, also by TJ Morris Ltd, due to a fire hazard from overheating. Some heaters have been fitted with an incorrect fuse size, increasing the risk, reports LancashireLive.
Affected batch codes include 596131/596133/596140/596141/596147/596148, which can be found near the control panel on the side of the heater. These were sold between November 1st and December 12th last year.
Customers should cease using the heaters immediately and can take them back to their local Home Bargains or Quality Save store for a refund and further information.
