Police are searching for a man who pulled out a hand grenade and pulled the pin, although it did not go off, while on a train after he was asked by a guard to stop swearing

Police have released CCTV as part of a manhunt after a man reportedly “pulled a pin on a hand grenade” while on a train.

The passenger boarded a train from Skegness to Nottingham at about 4:40pm on Sunday, May 18, and was asked by a guard to stop swearing. He then pulled out the grenade from his bag and pulled the pin, although it did not explode.

The man later claimed the stunt had been a joke, although he continued to act in a threatening way toward other passengers.

He got off the train at Boston, Lincolnshire. British Transport Police said they want to speak with the man pictured as they believe he might have information which could help their investigation.
