Armed police have swooped on a UK estate after reports of gunshots heard and cordons are currently in place.
The incident is on the Bluebell Estate in Huyton, Merseyside, tonight with reports of armed officers being seen and a police helicopter circling the estate. There are cordons in place across Alamein Road, Salerno Drive and Tobruck Road with dozens of police officers working inside.
A neighbour said she heard “five gunshots” a few hours ago. She added: “It’s not safe here anymore. It’s a nice area but every now and again there’s a bit of riff raff and something happens again.”
