There is nothing like flying off to an exciting destination. However, many unfortunately get nervous while flying, plus the squeezed legroom, or hours of sitting down can be uncomfortable. So many of us do whatever we can to enjoy a calm flight from watching films, playing games, reading, or admiring the view outside the window. However, recently one woman was left furious after she paid for a window seat, hoping to look outside during her flight, only for the passenger behind her to keep putting the shutter down.

Tori Wils was on a two-hour flight to North Carolina in the US. It was a sunny day so she was enjoying the amazing view through the window. However, the woman behind her seat decided she did not like the light reflecting through. She decided to reach her hand in the gap between the seats and put the window down without asking.

In a video shared on TikTok, Tori showed her pulling the window blind back up, and the woman pulled it quickly back down again. In the video, Tori said: “I mean all I wanted to do was see the sky. Just trying to enjoy the view.”

One individual said: “I would’ve spent the whole flight opening the window out of pure spite.” “That’s your window, not hers,” pointed out another.

Someone else said: “I’d keep opening it cause I paid for that seat. If someone wants it to be dark they should’ve brought something to cover their eyes.”

Another said: “The way I would’ve immediately slide it ALL the way up, then rested my hand on the slider while looking out.”

A user added: “My anger issues could NEVER. I’ll be escorted off that plane once we land.”

However a cabin crew member said: “As a flight attendant I’m with the person trying to close it. There is nothing out there and the cabin too bright with that damn window shade up. Close it so people can sleep and stop ringing the call lights!”

One other who agreed with the individual putting the blind down, said: “Although it’s their seat at their window; as a person who’s been back and forth on 14+5 hour flights you get tired of the view and you hate how bright it gets.

“Although, a lot of the international planes now have those buttons that dim the window so you’re still able to see through it but I still am not a fan.”

Meanwhile another flight attendant suggested: “If that ever happens to you, ring your call light above you and let the flight attendant know. They will have your back. That’s your seat and that’s your window. sincerely, a flight attendant.”

Thankfully, the woman behind Tori eventually stopped putting the window down.

Tori told PEOPLE: “After I put the phone down, I said stop and we laughed about it and she stopped.”
