From a bold matching set to new-season handbags, these are the new M&S pieces that are bound to fly off the shelves
Marks and Spencer prides itself on delivering high-quality products across all its departments, and the brand’s clothing range is no exception. Just when we thought we couldn’t love the high-street hero any more, it drops the second half of its spring collection that’s full of stunning pieces, ready for the warmer weather.
M&S is offering its new-season buys both in-store and online. After checking out the second half of the retailer’s spring range at my nearest branch yesterday (April 10), I can safely say there’s one product that every woman will want.
The bright red bubble-hem top is sure to win over the fashion set and I’m predicting a sell-out. At £29.50, this beautiful piece taps into a silhouette trend that surged in popularity last year. What’s more, Marks and Spencer has also released a matching skirt with an equally puffed up look, costing £49.50.

M&S shoppers can pick up the Pure Cotton Bubble Hem Puff Sleeve Top in red or white regular sizes, ranging from six to 24. The coordinating midi skirt, however, is offered in petite, regular and tall lengths and only comes in red, with sizes six to 18 still available to buy.
Want to embrace the bubble trend for less? New Look has cheaper ways to get the look, with its White Poplin Sleeveless Bubble Hem Top costing £23.99, while this Urban Bliss Black Bubble Hem Mini Skirt priced at £26.
When paired together, the M&S bubble pieces create the perfect spring-to-summer outfit for making a statement at any occasion. Both items are made from breezy pure cotton that will keep you cool as the weather gets warmer.
But that’s not all, Marks and Spencer has knocked it out of the park with its new-in accessories, including one that goes perfectly with the bubble co-ord. I fell in love with the Faux Leather Bowler Bag in Bright Red immeditely after laying eyes on it – even better, it’s under £40.
The stylish design features two elongated top handles for easy carrying and a practical zip closure. Coming in at £39.50, this bold piece will add a pop of colour to any outfit this season.
Some shoppers have left reviews for the other two colourways of the bowler bag, earning it an overall star rating of 4.8 out of five. One person said, “It’s a bit smaller than I expected but looks great. Happy.”
I can confirm the faux-leather design isn’t as spacious as other accessories in the M&S Collection range, but that hasn’t stopped me from wanting to snap it up. It was an item that other customers were drawn to as well during my recent Marks and Spencer visit.
If you loved the black mini dress from the chain’s first drop of its spring collection, then I have good news. The must-have ensemble is back in a striking-red hue, but it’s best to be fast. Customers can grab the newly launched frock in petite, regular or tall sizes from six to 24.
Another one of M&S’ new drops is the Denim Collarless Short Jacket that’s already selling fast online. Costing £45, the timeless piece has a four-pocket design and gold-tone hardware, so you can look chic when the temperatures drop. Most sizes of the jacket are currently still in stock on marksandspencer.com.
This jacket pairs wonderfully with the Polka Dot Mini A-Line Skirt, £49.50, which also just launched at M&S. To check out the brand’s full new-in range, head over to its website and shop now. I was the first on the Mirror’s fashion team to see the new pieces in-person.
Another much-loved retailer on the high street, Nobody’s Child launched a ‘spring staples’ collaboration with luxury accessories brand Elizabeth Scarlett this week, with prices starting from £18. The limited-edition edit includes dresses, co-ords and other summer staples.
