A woman who picked up a Too Good To Go bag from beloved sandwich chain Subway was astounded when she looked inside the bag and saw what she had been given for less than £4

Everyone loves a bargain, and Too Good To Go bags have become a hit in recent years. The app gives savvy shoppers the opportunity to snap up heavily discounted food that would otherwise be wasted.

The only catch is that users don’t know what they will find inside these mystery bundles. It’s all down to luck – but occasionally, customers strike gold. That is exactly what happened to a savvy woman named Becky, who paid £3.79 for a surprise bag from Subway. .

After arriving at her local Subway in Wilmslow, she presented her code. The staff member at the counter asked: “Do you like meatballs? We’ve got quite a lot left over today.”

Becky, who shares her money-saving tips online, was gobsmacked after receiving 1,000 grams of meatballs, plus an extra bag of treats, for less than £4.

In a viral video, she and her partner opened the goodie bag to reveal an Oreo muffin, a chocolate doughnut, two white chocolate cookies, two loaves of cheese bread and additional rolls. Stunned by the enormous haul, she exclaimed: “I can’t believe we got this.”

Becky confessed she “felt a bit sick” looking at the sheer quantity of meatballs she’d been given. Speaking to viewers, she added: “That’s dinner! Would you pay £3.79 for this bag? ” And it’s safe to say people were rather envious of her Too Good To Go triumph.

A Subway employee jumped into the conversation, and said: “I work for Subway, that’s a really good deal.” One added: “Get that home and on some pasta.”

Someone else suggested: “You could put the meatballs in the sub rolls.” Another said the pair got a “great deal”.

Previously Becky also tried a Too Good To Go bag from Greggs and shared her review. Another food fan was impressed recently after getting a surprise bag from M&S.

But one other was left not-so impressed after getting a Too Good To Go bag from Morrisons recently. The goods included a cottage pie ready meal, a large bag of frozen cauliflower pieces, croutons, three packs of cheese and a brownie. “They said this was a £30 bag but this is not £30, I’m taking it back to see what they say,” Nick fumed as he returned to the shop.
