A woman who had been unlucky in love was gobsmacked when a 25-year-old man liked one of her social media posts and now they are married. However their age gap and distance has lead to their relationship getting scrutinised online
A 68-year-old woman has opened up about her age gap relationship after saying ‘I do’ to a man 43 years younger than her. When Kay and 25-year-old Ablack connected on social media, they had no idea that it would lead to marriage. Just three days after meeting in person, they got engaged. People online have been sceptical about their romance, but they insist it’s real love.
Speaking on YouTube channel Love Don’t Judge about when they first met, Kay, who is from the US, shared: “He liked something I posted. I don’t even remember what it was. He went from somebody who liked my post to my very best friend. I could tell him any and everything and it just grew stronger and stronger.”
Kay said she “had a dream” about visiting Nigeria and it made her want to visit. She spoke to Ablack about visiting, and he booked her flight and helped her with her other travel needs. “When he showed up at the airport to come and get me it was like, ‘Oh my god you’re real, you’re really here’, it’s not a scam,” Kay added.
Three days later, musician Ablack proposed to Kay. He insists he knew it was “meant to be” after getting a sign from his prophet, and they married in October 2024. Despite being happy, it has been a struggle for others to understand their relationship – and they have received a lot of backlash.

Ablack, who often shares insights to their relationship on his Instagram page @ab_ablack2, got called a “fireboy” after a picture from the couple’s wedding went viral.
He said: “I never imagined I would date someone older than me. Some people say, you’re married to your grandma, she’s too old for you.”
Unfazed by the judgement, Kay, who has previously been married three times, says she feels like a teenager around Ablack. She says she is Ablack’s “queen” and claims the men in Nigeria treat their women so well. She added: “I’m his priority. If I want something he just gets it for me. In the states, you don’t get that.”
Currently she is going back and forth between Nigeria and the US, but plans on living in Nigeria permanently. Concluding how special her relationship is, Kay added: “I’ve never felt love like this before. This is the one I’m supposed to be with, I just had to wait a long time for him to be born.”
“Together we make a single unified force,” she insisted. “I love her so much, she is everything I need,” added Ablack.
