Christmas may be a few months away, but the festive season is well underway for us beauty fans with many brands already launching their 2025 advent calendars. Among them is Avant, with the luxury skincare company offering huge savings on a variety of its dreamy products in the Wonders Advent Calendar.
I have heard great things about Avant but have yet to try any of their products, so the advent calendar is the perfect way for me to get acquainted with the brand. The moment the huge forest green box arrived on my doorstep, I couldn’t wait to dive in.
Priced at £99, the Wonders Advent Calendar contains 12 award-winning skincare products worth a whopping £935, offering beauty fans an impressive saving of £836. This is exceptional value, with some of the products inside the calendar costing the same amount or more than the calendar itself when bought individually.
The gorgeous box that the products are housed in offers much more than just a storage place, as Avant has incorporated an augmented reality experience. Simply scan the QR code on the back of the box with a mobile phone, point the camera at the front of the calendar and watch an animated video featuring the wonders of nature come to life. The video shows a fairy harvesting ingredients before going on to showcase each of the 12 products hiding inside the drawers.
Avant’s Wonders Advent Calendar joins a line-up of other skincare calendars, including LookFantastic’s The Beauty Advent Calendar. This option costs £105 and contains 24 skincare and makeup products from various brands, including Sol de Janeiro and MAC, and is worth a total of £655.

For beauty fans looking for a more budget-friendly option, the Boots 24 Days Of Skincare Advent Calendar is priced at £70 and is worth £289. This calendar also contains different brands, such as Inkey List and Soap & Glory.

I was delighted to find Avant’s full-sized Pro-Intense Hyaluronic Acid Illuminating Day Cream hidden within one of the drawers. This moisturiser usually costs £97 when purchased separately, so buyers are essentially getting the 11 other products for £2, working out at little over 18p each. The day cream is a winner of the Vegan Beauty Award and boasts a ‘powerful formula’ that’s crafted to help smooth fine lines, deeply hydrate, and restore radiance.
One of the products made my jaw drop when I unwrapped it; the Damascan Rose Petals Revitalising Facial Serum. Priced at £114 when bought individually, the stunning 30ml bottle contains pretty pale pink rose petals that can be seen floating in the serum which is enriched with these ‘precious’ petals and Orchid extract.
Avant says the serum is the ‘ideal product to work to renew the skin and help fight the signs of ageing and stress’. The formula contains a ‘new generation of fermented active agents’ that enhance the serum’s results due to offering a booster effect.
Another item I can’t wait to try is the Hyaluron-Filler Lip Plumping Treatment (RRP £69), as my lips get quite dry during the winter months. The brand says the product works to deliver ‘deep hydration and plump the lips while reducing fine lines’.
It’s formulated with Hyaluronic Acid which aims to ‘enhance natural volume and smoothness’. Avant says the lip treatment is perfect for daily use, as it can be worn alone or under lipstick, so there’s no doubt I’m going to be reaching for it every day throughout autumn and winter.
It seems I’m not the only one impressed with the Avant Wonders Advent Calendar, as it has already received over 170 reviews so far with the majority of buyers rating it five stars. One happy customer shared: “I’ve never tried Avant before, so the calendar seemed a really good way to try a bit of everything! Since receiving the calendar I’ve been slowly trying out the products. So far they have all been lovely.
“I suffer from very dry, sensitive skin and I have rosacea. So far they have been very soothing and worked well on my face. I got the calendar because it was amazing value for money, and I think I will collect [the brand] from now on!”
Unfortunately one shopper was left unimpressed with the packaging of some of the products, as they explained: “Most items are great, I’m just disappointed with the writing on some of the packaging. Too small even for my 20/20 vision.” However, they concluded: “Overall a lovely calendar. Would make a great gift for a loved one.”
