A fast-food fan has ordered three items from McDonald’s ‘secret menu’ to see whether they live up to the hype – and it comes after the chain added one of them to their summer menu as a promotional item

International fast food chains such as McDonald's, KFC and Burger King are wildly popular in Southeast Asia, with the brands found in nearly every major city and town in the region, a reflection of the brands' global appeal and reach. Everyone has their go-to McDonald’s order – whether it’s a Big Mac, McChicken Sandwich or a Chicken McNuggets meal. But to mix things up, one fast-food fan shared how he ordered three burgers from McDonald’s ‘secret menu’ to see how they compare to its standard items.

In a TikTok video, user OmarTheCritic explained how he ordered what is known as the ‘McGangbang’, a custom-made sandwich that combines a double cheeseburger and a chicken patty. In order to achieve this, you either have to order the burgers separately and put it together yourself, or edit your double cheeseburger at the kiosk, adding various ‘extra’ toppings. He said: “It’s exactly what it sounds like – a McChicken being violated by two cheeseburgers. It’s actually pretty good. [People] would love this burger, they need to add it to the menu. The name alone would sell out the burger.”

Next, he sinks his teeth into the Chicken Big Mac, which is the exact same as a normal Big Mac but with the beef patties swapped out for chicken instead.

This item made it to McDonald’s main menu at certain branches in the UK this summer as the fast-food chain tested it out as a promotional burger. And it’s back on the menu today, alongside the rest of the Monopoly menu.

Omar simply said it’s “way better” while nodding and sharing his delight over its taste with every bite.

Finally, he tried the Land, Sea and Air burger which sees a beef, chicken and fish patty stacked on top of each other inside a Quarter Pounder with Cheese.

Again, this item can only be created by adding various toppings to an existing burger rather than ordering a ‘Land, Sea and Air’ at the till.

Surprised by its taste, he said: “That actually works! All it is missing is [extra] sauce and this thing would be gas.”

Commenting on his video, one user said: “The McGangbang was my g-to broke teenager burger.”

Another user added: “The chicken Big Mac ain’t a secret menu item anyone can get it.”

A third user said: “Y’all unlucky to not have Chicken Big Mac on the menu. In Norway you can buy it from the normal menu.”

Another user added: “McGangbang got me through high school back in the day when it only cost £3.30 for all three.”

One more user said: “Shout out for actually doing the McGangbang properly. I’ve seen so many fake ones where they just put a chicken patty on a cheese/double cheese burger. Got to be the whole chicken sandwich.”

While you can add and remove ingredients to burgers at McDonald’s, the fast-food chain does not have an official secret menu for customers to order from.

All of its ‘secret items’ are created by switching and swapping ingredients used on other burgers and wraps and while some branches might fulfil your unusual requests, others may make you order items separately to create these off-menu items on your own.
