A man who has travelled to 131 countries has shared his experience of flying first class after spending a whopping £8,000 on a seriously luxurious plane seat
For those who’ve never turned left when boarding a plane, a frequent flyer has given a sneak peek into the first class experience.
Jordan, known for his travel vlogs, recently treated himself to a luxurious First Class adventure aboard Singapore Airlines, and here’s a peek into what it’s like to indulge in a lavish $10,000 (£8,000) experience at 30,000 feet.
As he boarded the aircraft, bound for Singapore, he took his enthusiastic followers along with him, all 24 million of them so far who’ve watched the video. “POV: Boarding a $10,000 first class suite. Do you think the price is worth it?” he asked, piquing viewers’ curiosity about the extent to which this flight would justify its hefty price tag.
Jordan, who has set his sights on visiting every country in the world and has 131 countries under his belt so far, took his seat in his spacious First Class suite, nestled within the double-decker plane.
What greeted him upon entry was a generously-sized space all to himself, kitted out with a plush leather armchair, a fully-flat bed, a substantial television screen, and a side table.
Throughout his travel, Jordan indulged in meals which included pork belly, a serving of caviar, and rich, decadent chocolate desserts – all delicately plated on luxurious linens and enjoyed with fine silverware, truly a taste of the high life mid-flight.
He was also treated to a cosmetics bag filled with products from the luxury brand Lalique, as well as a pair of Lalique pyjamas. Meanwhile, the bathroom was spacious, featuring a dressing table area, a large mirror, and vibrant lights.
The video sparked a mixed reaction in the comments section, with some viewers left awestruck while others argued it wasn’t worth the hefty price tag. “For a 15 hour flight, worth every penny,” one person remarked.
Another viewer mused: “If I was rich I would in a heart beat. Sleeping, laying down on a plane seems like the best.” And a seasoned traveller who had previously flown Singapore Airlines first class shared: “I’ve taken this flight three times in the past 10 years. This airline really knows how to do first class. Only difference is, I didn’t pay for it my company paid for it.”
“Hell yeah it’s worth it,” another commenter enthused. “Wow just once in my life I’d like to experience that,” said another.
However, many were taken aback by the cost. “Not worth $10,000 …you can hire a whole small jet for that money,” one pointed out. “Sorry but definitely not worth $10K,” agreed another.
Another added: “It’s cool, but I don’t really see how it’s worth it.” One person quipped, “10K for a swivel chair and a camp bed. Nice though.” “All that money for a couple of hours,” another noted.
