Many of us enjoy indulging in a scrumptious treat meal every so often, and burgers are a classic choice when you’re after something hearty and packed with flavour. However, with the cost of living soaring, the last thing you want is to squander your hard-earned cash on takeaway or restaurant food that doesn’t hit the spot.

Luckily, one man has made it his mission to determine the best burger in the UK – and he reckons he’s found it. The much-loved food reviewer, known as Eating With Tod, who boasts an impressive two million Instagram followers, is a trusted voice when it comes to recommending must-visit eateries.

The co-founder of Fume barbecue Festival, who has enjoyed some of the most unique dining experiences, claims he has spent four years hunting for the UK’s top burger.

Despite crisscrossing the country regularly, it wasn’t until a recent visit to Guildford that he discovered the champion. “I spent four years trying to find Britain’s best burger and I think I may have found it,” Tod declared.

He is adamant that Boring Burger, situated in Guildford’s Pews Bar and Courtyard, is home to “Britain’s best burger”.

In a viral video, Tod elaborated: “The attention to detail and the ingredients are bonkers. I could literally put on a pair of sunglasses and stare at these burgers all day.”

The restaurant describes its grub as “less than ordinary”. It’s operated and owned by chef Jamie Kuhls.

Jamie, who serves as head chef at Boring Burger, spent years grafting in Michelin-starred kitchens, even whipping up dishes at the posh Claridge’s hotel in London.

Reviewer Tod remarked: “Jamie has worked in Michelin-star restaurants his whole life and he has put his skill set to good use by creating a burger joint that has one of the best burgers I’ve had yet.”

The brilliant thing about Boring Burger is that all the ingredients are prepared fresh on-site, from the chips to the burger sauce, and the bacon is even dry aged.

The burger buns are crafted using a special recipe that makes them soft yet sturdy enough to hold the filling “like a body builder,” Tod proclaimed.

He sampled the signature Boring Burger, Plain Jane Burger, and Loaded American Fries from the menu.

Tod also declared that the chips were so good they “should be illegal”. “This looks incredible,” remarked one person on the video, whilst another added: “Holy moly, that looks so damn good.”

A third chimed in: “Those buns look glorious.” Others branded the burgers as “heavenly” and “sensational”, whilst one more said: “Jeez, that looks good. Didn’t know Britain had game like this.”

Another declared it was their “new local spot in town”.

Meanwhile, another food reviewer, known as @kate. ovens on Instagram agrees with Tod, and said in her review of the burger joint that it is “probably one of my new top favourite burgers in the UK”.

Patrons should note that due to the high demand for Boring Burger, waiting in line is to be expected.
