It’s fair to say that most Brits love a Nando’s, but sometimes there are different items on the menu that people are desperate to try. One woman recently discovered this at Gatwick Airport, as she learnt it was the only Nando’s branch that serves breakfast, and it blew her mind.
Little you may know, you can bag a breakfast at Nando’s, but they are pretty rare, as the dishes are served exclusively at Gatwick’s South Terminal location. The exclusive breakfast menu includes items such as chicken benedict, peri-peri chicken breakfast and pastries – much to many food fans’ delight.
Shivani Khosla recently sampled the goods at the airport, and it’s fair to say she was thrilled by the experience. In fact, one partcular thing blew her away, even though there are lots of tempting items on the menu.
Speaking about the meal in a candid TikTok video, she said: “Nando’s now do breakfast, but it’s only at Gatwick Airport – luckily, I’m flying from there today. Honestly, I can’t imagine Nando’s having breakfast.
“The big breakfast has basically everything you need, so I ordered that. They had a separate egg section. God bless the Nandinos menu – they also have buttermilk pancakes so I got that.”
She also said one person in her group ordered avocado on toast, which she admitted was “banging.” Even though her pancake meal looked “a bit sad”, she praised the dishes she sampled.
Shivani added: “First of all the sausage, I’d give that a 7/10. But the hash browns, oh my gosh, the best hash browns I’ve ever had in my whole entire life.
“These pancakes were actually so good. They were a decent size as well for a kid’s meal. You can definitely get a better English breakfast from other places but, you know what Nando’s, I’m kind of impressed.”
The video has been viewed over 3,000 times since it was shared, and people were quick to comment too. They had a lot to say and ask about the Nando’s offering.
One person said: “Now that’s how you start a day right. Nando’s breakfast at the airport, yes please!”
Another added: “Nando’s brekkie is too good.” A third replied: “They have been doing this for years. I’m gutted it’s only at Gatwick – I love it.”
A fourth also commented: “Yum!” Someone else chimed in with: “Get the chicken benedict next time.”
The Nando’s website states the breakfast menu is only available at Gatwick Airport. You can snap one up any time between 4.30am and 10.55am.
The website reads: “The best thing about an early flight from London Gatwick Airport? Getting Nando’s for breakfast. It’s the only place in the UK and Ireland you can get it and the perfect way to pass the time if you’re waiting to board.
“Like our Sausage Breakfast Roll and Chicken Benedict. Or if you prefer sweet, try our Buttermilk Pancakes or All-Butter Croissant.”
