A woman in her 40s but is often mistaken for being in her 20s has revealed her secrets to maintaining a youthful appearance.

Kera, who is known on social media as @thisiskera, wowed her followers after revealing her true age, with many in disbelief saying she looks decades younger.

Sharing her tips on how she manages to keep her skin and mind so youthful, she says it all comes down to bioidentical hormones. She added: “I’m not a hormone doctor but I have one and she’s amazing.”

While encouraging everyone to do their own research and to speak to a doctor about hormonal remedies before jumping in, she said they’re why she feels so “sexy and energised’ all the time.

She said: “It has worked for me. It has balanced out my period.” Commenting on her post, one user asked: “Please keep making videos on all of this!”

Another user said: “I’m 43, struggling to find woman with the same mindset in my age bracket.” A third user added: “This is amazing! Thank you so much for the tips.”

One more user said: “Kera! You’re so real and inspiring, I am SO glad I found your page! I would love to know more about this process too – which specialist to see, and which are the hormones that you take”

According to Cleveland Clinic, bioidentical hormones are artificial hormones that are similar to the hormones produced by the human body.

A statement read: “They are used as treatment for people whose own hormones are low or unbalanced. Some people benefit from bioidentical hormones, but there are risks to treatment.”

However, as they can increase your risks of risk of blood clots, stroke, and gallbladder disease as well as heart disease and breast cancer, you should consult your doctor before use.

The statement adds: “The bioidentical hormones that are approved by the FDA have been tested for safety. They have passed the FDA’s strict standards and are safe for people to use.

“Like all hormone treatments, there are risks involved. You should weigh the pros and cons of even the FDA-approved bioidentical hormones with your healthcare provider.”
