Cheryl McCain, 63, is expecting a baby with her toyboy husband Quran McCain, 26, after the couple employed a surrogate to help them bring their child into the world

Cheryl McCain, 63, is hitting back at naysayers who doubt her ability to raise a child with her 26-year-old husband, Quran.

Despite the age gap and criticism, Cheryl, who already has seven children and 17 grandchildren, is excited about giving her younger husband his first child.

The couple met when Quran visited the petrol station where Cheryl worked. Their relationship blossomed slowly. “It took a while for things to progress,” she shared with Closer magazine. “Then after we first made love, Quran admitted he’d been a virgin.”

Cheryl felt incredibly special learning this, saying: “I was amazed, but he said he’d been waiting for the right person, which made me feel so special.”

She added that she wouldn’t have guessed it was his first time if he hadn’t mentioned it, reports the Daily Star.

The pair tied the knot on September 21 and soon began planning for a baby. They decided to use a surrogate to help bring their child into the world.

But despite the joyous occasion, they’ve encountered harsh trolling on social media. Cheryl, whose mother lived past 100, shared: “People say I might not live to see our child turn 18, but no one is promised seeing a child to 18 when they become a parent. Nobody knows what is going stop happen in the future whatever age they are!”

Other critics have gone further, with one commenting: “Thats sad, that poor baby won’t have a mum a few years after being born.” Another wrote: “So you’re going to leave this man with this baby because clearly you’re 1 foot in the casket.” While another said: “Does he know he’s going to be a single father?”

Cheryl is confident in her parenting skills, given her extensive experience raising her own brood. However, the journey hasn’t been without its challenges.

The couple, who used to be very intimate, had to adjust their physical relationship as Quran needed to save his sperm for the surrogacy process: “The stress and lack of intimacy did start to affect our marriage,” Cheryl admitted.

Finding a suitable surrogate proved difficult, with many candidates appearing more interested in financial gain than helping the couple achieve their dream.

Cheryl and Quran are over the moon about their upcoming baby, due just after Christmas, but not all reactions have been positive. Six out of Cheryl’s seven children have stopped speaking to her since the announcement.

The couple, who share their lives on Instagram and Quran’s OnlyFans page, have faced a barrage of negative comments online after revealing their news.
