A 73-year-old woman has revealed how she fell head over heels for a man 1,600 miles away, who is 34 years younger than her – and she hasn’t looked back since meeting him

A grandma is treated “like a Queen” by her toy boy partner who is younger than her son and does all her chores.

Christine Hayco, 73, has opened up about her age-gap romance with her 39-year-old partner Hamza Dridi, after the pair fell in love after meeting online in 2018. Christine isn’t shy to admit she has “sex more than most” with her now husband Hamza, and while she needs a hip replacement it “doesn’t hold me back in the bedroom”, she confessed.

Christine got chatting to Hamza online when she was working as a teacher for refugees and asylum seekers and he signed up for her lessons. After speaking for a while, the grandmother decided to fly out to her beau’s home in Nabeul, Tunisia, and hasn’t looked back. “It was definitely love at first site,” Christine said.

The loved-up woman added: “I can’t explain the love we have, it’s just wonderful. He’s gorgeous, he can’t do enough for me. We just laugh all the time together.”

Christine, from Rotherham, South Yorkshire said after meeting Hamza for the first time at the airport, the duo enjoyed a two-week holiday in Tunisia together. The romance-filled trip was so successful that Christine decided to live in Tunisia – where she has been for the last six years.

Speaking about her first thoughts of Hamza, the mum-of-two commented: “Hamza was so nice and so kind to me. We went for walks along the beach, and he took me out for lovely dinners. He even took me to a discotheque, and we went dancing.”

And being candid about their bedroom activities, Christine added: “We have sex more than most. I’ve been to lots of countries around the world, and I’ve never seen a country with so many good-looking men. I need a replacement hip, but other than that my age doesn’t hold me back in the bedroom.”

Speaking about how she is cared for Christine continued: “He takes care of me. Physically I’m not so good, I need a hip replacement and have to walk with a stick. But Hamza cares for me, he does all the cooking and cleaning. And he loves the washing machine! He won’t let me touch it or do any laundry.”

Months after meeting, the couple got married at Hamza’s home in Manouba, Tunisia, on New Year’s Eve 2020. Christine described their wedding as “magic”. Christine also converted to Islam and says “life is much better now”.

She said: “I’d already had an interest in Islam and had been thinking about converting for 15 years. When I went out to visit Hamza, I already had an English Quran. I believe Allah has a plan for everyone and this was meant to happen. Being with Hamza was his plan for me.”

Hamza said: “She’s my queen. I love my new life and new responsibilities.” Christine, who has a son who is four years old than her husband, added: “My son knows I’m a bit crazy anyway. My family has been really supportive. They can see how happy I am.

“My friends have been amazing, Hamza speaks to my friends all the time, so they can see how good we are together.”
