As actor Danny Dyer takes on his own caravan park adventure, Brits are snapping up affordable family fun at Stacey Solomon’s favourite resort
Eastenders actor and British legend Danny Dyer recently announced that he and daughter Dani have invested money into a Kent caravan park. As part of a Sky TV series set to air later this year, the Dyer’s will be sharing the ups and downs of running a privately-owned caravan park, tucked away on the Isle of Sheppey.
Dyer has previously spoken with great affection about his childhood family holidays by the coast, reminiscing on the innocent fun of days gone by. While modern day resorts offer upscale entertainment, state of the art activities and high quality caravans, the age old allure of a caravan holiday still strikes at the hearts of thousands of British families.
While we wait to see if the Dyers will be successful in their caravan park endeavour, the holiday experts at Haven have some great deals on short breaks at their Kent Coast Holiday Park just 45 minutes from the Isle of Sheppey. With prices starting at just £89 —equivalent to only £3.70 per person per night based on 6 guest sharing – they are really affordable too.

Affectionately known as “The Garden of England,” Kent attracts countless visitors year after year and it’s easy to see why. With miles of sandy beaches, picturesque country gardens, historic houses, orchards, and vineyards, it’s the perfect destination for a coastal caravan holiday.
With UK-based holidays expected to surge in popularity once again this year, a short break in Kent offers an affordable and enjoyable summer escape. The Haven Kent Coast Holiday Park, Rochester has undergone an impressive 20 million pound transformation in recent years and now features a brand new Adventure Village, state-of-the-art Marina Bar and Stage entertainment venue, a fishing lake and two swimming pools.
Haven is one of several highly rated caravan park providers scattered across the UK. Parkdean Resorts own 66 unique parks near coastal locations, all offering affordable family fun. This year, their Easter breaks start from £179 for a four-night, mid week getaway during the school holidays.
If you are looking for a lodge style holiday, Sykes Cottages has some lovely lake lodge holidays starting from £316.
Haven’s Kent Coast park was famously visited by celebrity guest Stacey Solomon and her family in 2024. Stacey, her husband Joe Swash and their youngest children loved it so much they found it hard to leave sharing a post on Instagram that said: “Time to say goodbye… The state of us. I had to bribe our family home from the caravan park today … because it’s back to school tomorrow.”
It’s not just the Solomon-Swash family who love spending time there either, with the site receiving many five-star reviews on Tripadvisor.
One visitor said: “Absolutely love this site. have visited many Haven sites for our yearly weekend break taking my elderly mother for a break and I have to say this one is the best by far,” while another added: “Best caravan site I have been to. Love the outdoor spaces for the kids, the bar is lovely, shows good – restaurant and arcades also really brill.”
A third guest wasn’t quite so upbeat, saying that they had an “mixed experience” adding: “Having visited Kent Coast Haven Park both as young adults and now as a family, our experiences have been a mix of highs and lows. The refurbishments are impressive, offering plenty of activities for older kids, but there are notable drawbacks, particularly for younger children.”
Prices for a mid-week, four-night stay at the Kent Coast Holiday Park start from as little as £89 in May.
