I’m A Celebrity finalist and former professional boxer Tony Bellew took to social media to share a loving tribute to his wife Rachael, as he celebrated their anniversary

Tony Bellew gushed over his wife Rachael Bellow in an anniversary post on social media recently, with him having paid tribute to her alongside a series of photos.

The former professional boxer shared a collection of photos on Instagram to mark their wedding anniversary. It featured some from their nuptials, including of the couple with their children, and others from their lives together.

He captioned the post: “I’ve been through everything with this girl and couldn’t have done or achieved anything without her! The day we came together was the most important day of my life. I love ya more than you know [Rachael], oh and I’m looking forward to play golf twice this week luv…”

Fans showered the pair with well wishes in response to I’m A Celebrity finalist Tony’s anniversary post on the platform. As reported by OK! magazine, one person wrote: “A good example of when you pick the right partner, everything is possible. Happy anniversary you two.”

Another fan enthused: “Beautiful pictures, happy anniversary to you both.” And among the well-wishers was Peter Fury, the uncle of professional boxer Tyson Fury, who remarked: “The best that life can offer us. You’re really blessed.”

Tony made his professional boxing debut back in 2007, soon making a name for himself in the industry. He was holder of the British and Commonwealth light-heavyweight titles in 2010. According to the outlet, by the time he retired he was worth as much as £15 million. His final fight was against Oleksandr Usyk and reportedly earned Tony around £4 million for the match.

He however has now hung up his gloves, choosing to dedicate more time to his wife Rachael, whom he’s paid tribute to in posts on Instagram. He also felt that the nature of the sport was taking a toll on his body.

In a candid chat with GQ once, Tony said: “My body can’t take anymore. I will get out and enjoy the rest of my days.” Recent posts show him basking in retirement, including enjoying spending time on the golf course.

And although he waved goodbye to professional boxing in 2018, Tony later returned to the ring for his role as the fictional boxer Ricky Conlan in the Creed film series. And prior to his appeared as runner-up to Made In Chelsea’s Sam Thompson on I’m A Celebrity, Tony had already appeared on SAS: Who Dares Wins and A League of Their Own, so he was no stranger to reality TV and game shows by the time he stepped up into the jungle.
