Love Island: All Stars returns for its new series next month – with a number of former islander set to enter the villa again – and Maya Jama will be back as host of the ITV2 show

Presenter Maya Jama is planning to make South Africa her “home-away-from-home” and ditching the UK.

Maya, 30, will host for the second series of the ITV2 spin-off Love Island: All Stars, which returns in just over three weeks. Ahead of the launch on January 13, it’s claimed that she will make Cape Town her base, rather than commute there from the UK.

It’s been suggested that she “puts everything” into her role on Love Island, which she took over from Laura Whitmore last year. Maya is said to be planning to spend the “whole four weeks” of All Stars in South Africa during its new series.

A source told the Sun: “Maya puts everything she has into Love Island – it’s so important to her so she’s moving out to South Africa again this year. She’ll be there the whole four weeks All Stars is on and can’t wait. The place she’s staying is really luxe!” The outlet added that it means she won’t have to spent a month flying back and forward for the ITV show.

Maya – who is yet to head out to South Africa for the new series – had announced back in May that the show would return for a second series next year. The news came just three months after the first series of All Stars ended.

The first series saw a host former islanders head into the villa abroad for “a second chance at finding love”. It ran from January to February this year, with Molly Smith and Tom Clare named the winners in the final. Other contestants included Callum Jones, Jess Gale, Josh Ritchie and Sophie Piper, who were also among the five finalist couples.

The line-up for the second series has yet to be announced, though there’s already speculation over who could appear on the show. Several former islanders have been mentioned ahead of the launch, including one who won Love Island.

Among the rumoured names is Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, now 30, who won the eighth series of Love Island in 2022. She was named the winner that year with Davide Sanclimenti, though the former couple are no longer in a relationship.

Paige Thorne, who appeared on the same series, and Olivia Hawkins, who was an islander in 2023, have also been part of the speculation ahead of the launch. It’s been teased that Nas Majeed, who was on the main show in 2020, could end up in the villa for the spin-off. Tyrique Hyde and Scott Thomas, who were on Love Island in 2023 and 2016 respectively, have also been mentioned as potential contestants.
