An experienced jetsetter who has managed to explore more than 46 countries across the globe has shared the seven “most beautiful” destinations of the bunch. Most people hope to travel and see some of the many stunning sights in the world. Whether it’s an explorative summer holiday or a lengthier excursion, there’s no shortage of breathtaking spots to enjoy. Some people centre their lives on travelling from one place to another, keen to see as many countries as possible.

Sam McClendon regularly shares her travel adventures with the masses on TikTok, where her videos have amassed more than 3.7 million likes. In one popular video, she cut together enviable footage of the destinations she deems to be the most beautiful.

Over the top of the clip, she added the words: “I’ve travelled to over 46 countries and these are the most beautiful places I’ve been to”.

Banff, Canada

Renowned for its natural beauty and serene lakes, this Canadian resort town is located within Banff National Park.

It boasts an impressive, awe-inspiring skyline thanks to the peaks of Mount Cascade and Mount Rundle, which are part of the Rocky Mountains.

There’s plenty for visitors to see and explore, with stunning rugged landscapes merged with relaxation options like boutique shops, restaurants and château-style hotels.

Merzouga, Morocco

This little Moroccan town is found in the Sahara Desert and is known as the “gateway” to a vast expanse of sand dunes, Erg Chebbi.

One tourist labelled it the “best” part of their holiday in a review on TripAdvisor and penned: “The stars [are] so vivid at night, the camel ride so magical, the beautiful sunrise, the amazing sunset, the sands so clean, untouched and pure.”

La Fortuna, Costa Rica

Those seeking serenity and adventure will be spoilt for choice in this popular town in Costa Rica, which boasts tropical forests, impressive waterfalls and a host of excursions to enjoy.

Home to the Arenal Volcano National Park and its two volcanoes – one of which is still active with winding lava flows – as well as hot springs, forest trails and activities like fishing, kayaking and more.

Jaipur, India

The capital of India’s Rajasthan state, this city is famous for its impressive and elaborate “pink” architecture, rich history and vibrant culture.

It’s home to an abundance of famous monuments, including the Govind Dev temple, City Palace, Hawa Mahal and more.

It also boasts two World heritage sites – Amer Fort and Jantar Mantar.

Valensole, France

This commune can be found in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department in the southeastern Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of France.

It’s famed for its vast lavender fields, with huge stretches of blue, violet and purple areas that draw people from all over the world. It also enjoys 300 days of sunshine each year.

Positano, Italy

This picturesque destination is an Italian town and municipality on the Amalfi Coast, found in the Province of Salerno, Campania, in Italy.

It’s known and loved for its beautiful beaches, boutique shops, vast array of restaurants, nightlife and more.

The pastel coloured houses are stacked into the sides of cliffs, with dazzling views available from all directions. Its twisting roads aren’t for the faint of heart, with lots of steep steps and narrow passageways adding to its beauty and allure.

Phi Phi, Thailand

A stunning medley of islands in Thailand, the larger of which boast breathtaking white sand beaches, private bays, and incredible views of the sparkling Andaman Sea.

There’s also towering limestone cliffs flanking certain spots, creating a feeling of peaceful seclusion among nature.

There’s plenty to do, with hiking trails, swimming, bars and restaurants, and more to take advantage of. There’s also snorkelling and diving options to take in the eclectic sea life and vibrant coral reefs.
