Jade Goody’s widower has demanded to know what happened to the TV personality’s £200,000 ring and houses she had bought for her sons.

Jack Tweed, who married Jade weeks before she died of cancer in March 2009, said he is “sad” to see the 27-year-old star’s impressive fortune seemingly vanish since then. Jade had worked work throughout her treatment for cervical cancer to reportedly be able to leave £3million for sons Bobby and Freddy Brazier in a trust fund.

It has, though, been claimed the boys, then aged five and four respectively, didn’t get the full benefits. Jack, who started dating Jade in 2006, said today: “I don’t know what’s happened to it at all. There was a load of jewellery as well – someone had that – there was quite a lot of money. One of the rings was about 200 grand or something.

“It’s sad. I always got told she had a few houses, and a couple of them were for Bobby and Freddy when they turned 18 – and I don’t know where any of it went.”

Jack claims Prince Azim of Brunei gave Jade the £200,000 ring but Jack told the Daily Mail he didn’t concern himself with Jade’s finances before she died, confirming she left the matter to trustees. There is no suggestion that any wrongdoing has occurred with Jade’s finances.

“At the time I didn’t want to get involved in any of that… Number one, I didn’t want to believe that Jade was actually going to pass away. I didn’t believe it – I always thought she’d just get through it some time – so I didn’t want to even talk about that,” Jack continued.

“And it it wasn’t really me, it was Jade’s money wasn’t it, so it was nothing to do with me… I don’t know what’s happened to it at all.”

Two years after Jade’s passing, it was reported her £3million estate had taken a huge hit due to a £1.8million tax bill – allegedly as a result of four years worth of unpaid income tax. Her sons’ father Jeff Brazier later claimed there were later more tax issues related to her beauty salon in Essex.

Concerns around Jade’s finances have come to light again recently as Freddy, who turns 21 this month, prepares to become a father at that tender age. Reflecting on this, Jack said: “I’m pleased for him… I’m hoping – along with everyone else – that it might do him the world of good. It makes you grow up..”

Freddy recently told how he has battled addiction in his teens. He alleged his nan Jackiey Budden – Jade’s mother – was the one who got him “hooked” on drugs at the age of just 12.

But Jackiey last week hit back at these claims, insisting Freddy’s drug use was “nothing to do with her”. The 68-year-old woman said: “All I’ve ever tried to do is look out for him and give him somewhere safe to be whenever he wants to – and this has really upset me that he would do this.”
