Beauty brand Jones Road is offering a limited-time promotion to celebrate Labor Day in the US. The deal sees a skincare set that includes a fan-favourite moisturiser slashed in price.

The Moisture Duo includes a full-size Oil-Free Moisturiser and full-size Lippie Stick Original. Now with 20% off, this set is available for £47.20 instead of £59 – that’s a saving of £11.80.

The Oil-Free Moisturiser is a fragrance-free, water-based face cream that is said to be lightweight, clean and work for all skin types. It also boasts an impressive 4.8 out of five-star rating. Designed to provide instant hydration to skin, the Jones Road moisturiser claims to be fast-absorbing without feeling heavy, sticky or too dewy.

It contains niacinamide, which is also known as vitamin B3, to reduce the appearance of large pores, restore suppleness and help correct uneven skin tone. Meanwhile, shoppers also raced to stock up on Elizabeth Arden’s Visible Difference Refining Moisture Cream Complex, which is now reduced from £40 to £20 at Debenhams.

The cream is formulated to reduce the appearance of fine lines and plump skin with hydration. At Boots, La Roche-Posay’s Hydraphase HA Light has an overall 4.7 out of five star-rating from shoppers who find it ‘quick to soak in’ and ‘perfect to use in heatwave weather’. It retails at £23, and Boots is offering a 25% discount when shoppers buy two selected La Roche-Posay products.

The Moisture Duo includes an Oil-Free Moisturiser and The Lippie Stick in Original – now 20% off.

Jones Road founder Bobbi Brown said: “The Oil-Free Moisturiser is my summer staple. Not only is it lightweight which makes it perfect for dry skin in hot and humid climates, but it also works very well on oily skin all year round. Layer your favorite SPF over the moisturiser for a lightweight finish.”

One shopper said it kept her mature skin feeling hydrated all day, sharing: “I love this lightweight moisturiser. First tried it in the travel kit – love that too. So easy to pop in your toiletry bag. This moisturiser is great in summer layered with miracle balm. I have at least six of them. It keeps my 60-year-old skin feeling hydrated all day. Bobbi and Jones Road have made me a happy customer. Over and over.”

A second said: “It’s perfect as a unisex moisturiser as it doesn’t have any scent to it. The oil-free formula feels light yet is very effective.”

The hydrating Oil-Free Moisturiser is loved by mature skin shoppers

But a customer left a lukewarm review, explaining: “Although I don’t feel anything when I put it on, it’s not oily. I’m just going to use until I run out but definitely won’t be buying it again.”

Another pointed out a flaw and said: “The only drawback is the container is solid white and I can’t tell when it’s getting low so I can reorder.”

But the Oil-Free Moisturiser works amazingly on shoppers with blemish-prone skin. “It is light and seems to do a good job, it doesn’t aggravate my occasional breakouts,” one said.

Another added: “The moisturiser is the perfect amount of moisture that leaves my 50-year-old skin feeling dewy and youthful.” Jones Road’s Lippie Stick Original, worth £24 and included in the skincare set, is a dense and cushiony lip balm that works to lock in moisture, leaving shoppers’ lips feeling soft and nourished.

This clear-coloured chapstick is made with rich plant-based oils and cocoa butter in a blend of orange, spearmint and lavender essential oils. The Moisture Duo by Jones Road is available to shop online.
