This Morning presenter and Big Brother winner Josie Gibson headed from Doha to London on a Qatar Airways flight, enjoying a taste of luxury in Qsuite business class

TV presenter Josie Gibson was so blown away by her time on a Qatar Airways plane that she didn’t want to leave.

For most people, air travel in 2025 is likely to involve Ryanair or easyJet; a blurry-eyed, early morning trip to the airport; and having to stuff everything you possibly can into a cabin bag to avoid paying for checked-luggage.

That is not the case if you’re among the well-heeled travellers who have enough cash to splash on the likes of luxury airlines such as Qatar. In her new watch The First Class Travel Show, Josie jets back from Doha on the comfy airline after spending a night at a luxury hotel that sets punters back £16,000 a night.

This Morning presenter and Big Brother winner settles herself in to the Qsuite for the seven and a half hour flight. Qatar Airways business class offering is not cheap, setting back passengers at least £2,500. With that high price comes a lot of comfortable features.

The Qsuite was the first business class to have suites with doors, which provides privacy so you can settle in to a fully lie-flat bed that benefits from mood lighting and generous storage.

When Josie arrived onboard she was handed a goody bag that was filled with quality treats, including loungewear from the White Company and Diptyque skincare products. There is no scrunching up your jumper to use as a makeshift pillow here. Passengers are treated to a proper bed that looks like it’d deliver a proper night’s sleep.

“It’s so cosy, it’s so comfy. I don’t want to get off the flight. I’m so sad I’ve only got four hours remaining,” Josie exclaimed.

When you’re not getting a sound nights sleep at 30,000 feet, when in the Qsuite you’re likely to be consuming. “You can have your meal at anytime that suits you,” Josie said in delight as she realised that she wouldn’t be making do with a jumbo bag of M&Ms bought from duty free or a trolly sandwich.

Instead, she was treated to a four-course meal that was “better than high end restaurants I’ve been to”.

First up is a starter, which was made up of limitless glasses of Champagne, costing £60 per bottle, and caviar. Next up – a lobster tartar amuse bouche. For the main course Josie tucked into a beef fillet with truffle, followed off by a chocolate brownie.

“On this trip, I really feel like I’ve tasted the future. And let me tell you, it’s yummy,” the satisfied customer reported.

The one slight snag is the price tag. If you fancy flying out to Doha from the UK this month, you’ll pay at least £5,382 for a single adult Qsuite ticket. Economy on the other hand, costs £850. So you’d be paying roughly £800 for every hour of your journey, rather than £120.

Around The World In First Class begins Friday, 28 February at 8pm on Channel 5.
