The Real Madrid icon’s firm has submitted an application to trademark the ‘JB’ logo for an array of products including toothbrushes, pillowcases, tea cosies, bins – and even clothing for animals

Despite being just 21, Three Lions star Jude Bellingham is already one of the world’s best with a football at his feet.

Now the darling of the English game seems set to build a business empire off it – by trying to trademark a snazzy “JB” logo for a series of goods. The Real Madrid icon’s firm has submitted an application to trademark it for an array of products. They vary from stationery to toothbrushes, pillowcases, tea cosies, bins – and even clothing for animals.

Other classes the firm he co-owns Bello&Bello Ltd has applied to trademark the logo for include duvets, handkerchiefs, Christmas tree decorations and inflatable toys. Meanwhile, the application also covers beers, protein sports drinks and smoothies.

It comes after Jude was unveiled last year as the new face of Kim Kardashian’s clothing brand, Skims. The footballer appeared topless in posted on the reality star’s Instagram account. And, also last year, society bible Tatler listed Jude as the country’s most eligible bachelor. It was a mark of his influence away from the turf.

His firm’s figurative trademark application was filed with the Intellectual Property Office late last year. It was submitted by Bello&Bello Ltd, which counts his dad Mark as a director and mum Denise as company secretary.

In another application filed last year, Bello&Bello also applied to trademark the term “JB5” – an apparent reference to his Real Madrid shirt number – for a number of goods. They include drink mats, flags, beach bags, belts, briefcases, handbags, purses, school bags, suitcases, wallets and walking sticks.

Other items include kitchen utensils, mugs, hip flasks, porcelain and china, oven mitts, shoe horns, tea towels, bed linen, leggings, boxer shorts, pyjamas, nighties, bikinis, swimming trunks – even wedding dresses. More goods include bibs, baby sleep suits, baby sleeping bags, sleeping masks and shower caps.

Financial statements filed with Companies House show Bello&Bello Ltd, which Jude co-owns with his mum, had net assets of £2.6million at the end of February 2024. Companies House states the nature of the firm’s business is “Media representation services”. The company is reported to be the footballer’s image rights firm.

Jude – who signed for Real Madrid in the summer of 2023 for up to 133.9m euros (£112m) – finished third in last year’s Ballon d’or, which recognises the world’s best players. Jude Bellingham’s representatives were contacted for comment.
