It Ends With Us star Justin Baldoni looked completely unrecognisable as he took a break from his ongoing legal issues with co-star Blake Lively during a holiday
Justin Baldoni revealed a dramatic new hairstyle while dealing with the ongoing legal dispute involving his former It Ends With Us co-star Blake Lively. Usually recognised for his long, wavy hair, he has now switched to a faux hawk wand has had the sides of his hair shaved, making a noticeable change to his appearance.
Now, the 41-year-old looks completely different as he kicked back with his family. The It Ends With Us star previously admitted he was “exhausted” by the ongoing legal dispute with Blake. But the star looked at ease as he debuted his new look in Hawaii with his loved ones.
Stepping out, Justin’s hairstyle was a stark contrast from his usual raven glossy locks. The actor now sports a more casual shaved sides and a faux mohawk do.
In new pictures, the actor was seen out and about with his children as they made the most of their downtime, enjoying a shaved ice dessert, in pictures obtained by MailOnline.
Just last month, Justin admitted he wasn’t in the best place after the legal drama that unfolded last year. In an old clip from a Gent’s Talk podcast episode, recorded before the Blake Lively dispute, he opened up about his tough year.
The episode was filmed in November last year, a month before Blake, 37, filed a lawsuit against him, accusing him of sexual harassment and allegedly causing severe emotional distress while working on It Ends With Us. She also claimed the 41-year-old tried to “destroy” her reputation in a smear campaign.
He has strongly denied the allegations, and last month, he countersued Blake and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, 48, for £321 million ($400m) for an apparent attempt to destroy his reputation and career. It’s since been claimed Blake and Ryan’s lawyers have filed a notice to state that they will seek to dismiss Justin’s lawsuit.
The star even published a website, titled Lawsuit Info, which included a 168-page ‘timeline of relevant events’ to defend himself against Blake’s allegation. On the podcast, Justin said: “This morning, I sent a text message to my best friend Jamey and the president of my company, Tera, and I told them that I wasn’t in the best place.
“I told them that I was exhausted, that I haven’t given myself time to recover or time to heal,” he opened up on the podcast. The actor was referring to Jamey Heat, the CEO of Wayferer Studios, and Tera Hanks, the president of the production company.
Justin revealed his emotional state was due to the result of “an intense year”. He added: “A lot of material success and a lot of emotional stress was very hard on me and my family. I wear a lot of hats, and I carry a lot because I love what I do,” before saying he has “love” for his company.
“I love the people that work for us. I love the movies that we make. I love the impact that we have and yet sometimes it’s easy to, as you said earlier, fall back into our programming and be swept away in the current of self and be kind of overtaken by the wave of success and opportunity.”
The actor and director said he woke up at 4:30 in the morning with his “heart racing” and realised he had “some anxiety” before adding he wasn’t “in the best place”. He said he needed to prioritise his time and “just haven’t given myself the time to heal from this year that I needed”.
While he was “vulnerable” he shared the same message with his assistant and another similar one with his publicist, Jennifer Abel. The actor went on to say he’s a “work in progress” that tries to be “radically sincere”.
Justin continued: “And sometimes I can get lost in the same way that everybody gets lost, but healing isn’t linear, and growth isn’t linear, and if you don’t have setbacks and if you don’t have plateaus, then you don’t have the opportunity to group and to push forward.” The intense legal case began the following month.
