Travis Kelce has landed a major TV role in Ryan Murphy’s new FX series, Grotesquerie, as the Kansas City Chiefs tight end continues to explore his options in Hollywood

NFL star Travis Kelce is set to make his Hollywood debut in a significant role in Ryan Murphy’s new FX series, Grotesquerie. His co-star Niecy Nash shared an Instagram post of the two together, welcoming him to the cast on Tuesday (May 7).

Kelce, who is still at the height of his incredible NFL career with three Super Bowl wins, has been exploring opportunities in film and TV. He reportedly received his first offers earlier this year and has already taken up a presenting role on the series ‘Are You Smarter than a Celebrity?’.

Since going public with his relationship with Taylor Swift in September, the NFL superstar’s fame has skyrocketed, with Swifties showing their support for him and his team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

His podcast with elder brother Jason Kelce has become one of the most downloaded in the United States, leading to interest in roles on TV and film.

In a video, Nash captioned: “@killatrav Welcome to Grostequerie! ” also declaring “This is what happens when WINNERS link up! ! “.

Kelce will star alongside actors Courtney B. Vance and Lesley Manville in the show, which is reportedly set to be released this Autumn on Disney Plus. The show is being produced by the same creator of American Horror Story – a series known for featuring celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian and Stevie Nicks.

The 34-year-old recently inked a whopping $34.25 million contract with the Chiefs, making him the highest-paid tight end in NFL history – ensuring his stay with the team until the 2025 season.

While football remains his primary focus for the foreseeable future, TheWrap.com reports that the three-time Super Bowl champ is considering other ventures such as film roles, comedy gigs, and product endorsements.

Top industry names like White Lotus producer David Bernad are rumoured to have discussed a potential reality show with Kelce, possibly chronicling the twilight years of his career with the Chiefs.

Kelce is set to aid the Chiefs in their bid to become the first team in NFL history to clinch three consecutive championships this year, after bagging the Super Bowl in 2022 and 2023. The Chiefs are once again among the favourites, having had a robust offseason and adding the fastest player in NFL history to their roster – in drafting wide receiver Xavier Worthy in the first round.
