Supermodel Kate Moss – who recently split from her aristocratic boyfriend – is said to be planning a ‘wild’ party for her 51st birthday this month
Kate Moss is reportedly planning a wild birthday party so that she can ‘let her hair down’ following her split from her younger boyfriend, Nikolai von Bismarck.
Last month, it was reported that the 50-year-old supermodel split from Nikolai, 37, after nine years together. At the beginning of December, it was said she moved out of the London home she shared with the aristocrat. It was claimed she didn’t want to give up her glam and wild lifestyle while he wanted a much quieter life.
According to sources, it was the main reason behind their split. Now that Kate is single again, she is reportedly hoping to ‘let her hair down’ at her birthday party – which she is currently planning as she prepares to turn 51 years old. Following her ‘intimate soiree in Paris’ last year, she’s hoping to ‘turn over a new leaf’.
“A lot has changed since [last year’s birthday] and Kate has said she wants this party to be like turning over a new leaf,” a source recently claimed. “Now that her daughter Lila is all grown up and she is single again, Kate feels like she wants to let her hair down and be carefree — which is not something she’s been able to do for a long time.”
The source told The Sun that the supermodel is simply ‘looking on the bright side of life’ and ’embracing the new year’ following the end of her relationship. The Mirror has reached out to her reps for comment. Meanwhile, a source previously claimed that Kate and Nikolai were on and off for months before realising that their relationship wasn’t going to work due to their different perspectives on life.
Kate and Nikolai have been in an on and off relationship since 2015. The couple started dating after the collapse of the supermodel’s doomed five-year marriage to musician Jamie Hince – which ended that same year. Their divorce was finalised the year after. Initial reports suggested Nikolai was Kate’s lodger in her North London home, but it was later apparent the pair were dating.
They then split in 2016 due to his “party lifestyle” but reconciled the same year. However, since September 2022 the status of the romance has been unclear. Kate had previously gushed about her romance with the Count and how he slotted into her family – which includes 20-year-old daughter Lila who Kate shares with ex-boyfriend Jefferson Hack, 52.
She told Vanity Fair in 2022: “Being in love makes me feel beautiful. My daughter Lila inspires me to be the best person I can be. My favourite moments are when all the family are sitting down together having lunch on a sunny Sunday afternoon in the country.”
