Christine Baumgartner and Kevin Costner were embroiled in a bitter divorce battle for over a year before finalising their split in February 2024, and now she is set to wed again

Christine Baumgartner, who finalised her divorce from Kevin Costner less than a year ago, is now officially engaged to financier Josh Connor.

The Yellowstone actor and his ex-wife endured a tumultuous divorce process throughout 2023, which was finally settled in February 2024. Baumgartner, who confirmed her relationship with her former neighbour in 2024 after much speculation, was reportedly “so in love” with him and had “plans to marry” him. Now, it seems her dreams have come true.

Inside sources confirm that the couple got engaged on January 26. According to insiders, Baumgartner, 50, believed they were having a quiet dinner for two in Santa Barbara, before he proposed on the beach. “They spent Christmas in New York together last month, where it all began.

“They are both over the moon and excited for their future together,” a source told People magazine. The engagement follows rumours of their relationship in July 2023, when they were seen together in Hawaii.

This was just two months after she reportedly “blindsided” Costner by filing for divorce in May. Despite the drama surrounding her divorce, her friends and family have reportedly been supportive of her new romance, reports the Express US.

A source said: “Anyone who knows Christine knows how she has dedicated her life to her family. They do a lot together, and caring for her kids has remained very focus this whole time,”.

“Her friends and family have been incredibly supportive of her relationship with Josh, and everyone can tell how happy they are together. Now, everyone wants to know when and where the wedding will be! ” Before her relationship with Connor, Baumgartner was married to Costner for 18 years. They share three children together, sons Cayden, 17 and Hayes, 15, and daughter Grace, 14.

Kevin and Christine finalised their divorce in February last year. Their divorce went south almost immediately with Christine asking for large amounts of money including a $250,000 child support payment with Kevin claiming the cash would be used for plastic surgery. In July she was ordered to leave their shared home by a judge and relocated to a $40,000-per-month property located in Montecito, California.

After the child support hearing Kevin confessed to reporters outside the court room that he was in a “horrible place.” He told Access Hollywood: “This is a horrible place to be, but this is where we’re at. It feels so bad. We’re talking about somebody I love on the other side. I just can’t.”

At the time a representative for the former couple shared a joint statement with Mirror, that said: “Kevin and Christine Costner have come to an amicable and mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues pertaining to their divorce proceedings.”
