Kim Kardashian’s fans were left speechless by her striking transformation in the latest SKIMS campaign unveiled on Monday. The star swapped her signature dark hair for blonde locks, channeling a retro pinup vibe.

In one standout shot, she sported a fur bikini that appeared two sizes too small, highlighting her cleavage, side boob, and underboob all at once. One fan commented: “Why did I think you was Beyoncé.” Whilst another added: “I know I’m not the only one thinking she was giving SHAKIRA.” A third penned: “Thought it was Beyoncé for a sec.”

Kim captioned the snap: “WINTER HEAT drops Wednesday, December 18 at 9AM PT / 12PM ET. Get the SKIMS app for early access.”

Fans also noticed that Kim’s face appeared different at the opening of her flagship SKIMS store in New York City this week — and they speculated on a few possible reasons for the change.

Kim attended the event on Fifth Avenue last week, where she was spotted riding a scooter to accommodate her broken foot. She initially wore a low-cut top and form-fitting trousers paired with transparent heels, but later swapped them for her UGG boots.

The business owner was pictured alongside her guests at the store opening and was all smiles during the event, but fans were quick to point out that her face looked different – possibly due to her make-up. One fan wrote on social media: “She did her lips in a new way. She overlined her lips with brown liner and added lighter lipstick, it’s a ’90s thing.”

Another added: “Kimmy went wild on her lips, they massive, but it looks cool.” Someone else theorised her different look could be due to her different hairstyle, saying: “She had bangs in her face, made her look like a different person.”

Among the stars joining Kim at the store opening were Paris Hilton, Cardi B and Teyana Taylor, who wore bold outfits and prints for the evening. At a dinner held after the opening event, the Kardashian star told her guests: “It means the world to me that you guys are here to support.” She then said: “I cannot f*****g believe we have a store on Fifth Avenue,” as the crowd responded with a huge applause.

She added: “My first job ever was in retail,” before saying that it “shaped her” and gave her “the best experience” through which she “learned so much.” Skims now finds itself in a prime position in NYC as the space – which was once home to a Versace boutique – is located next to a Cartier store, as well as major brands including Ferragamo, Tag Heuer and Nike.

The flagship store spans four floors showcasing the brand’s shapewear and loungewear collections, along with a dedicated section for collaborations with Dolce & Gabbana and The North Face. Valued at $4 million (£3.17 million) in 2023, SKIMS announced its move from a thriving online presence to brick-and-mortar stores earlier this year.
