Whilst Amazon Prime Day is great for saving money on essentials or getting a head start on Christmas shopping, it’s also the perfect opportunity to pick up a big ticket item that you’ve been eyeing up for a while. And one great deal we’ve spotted is the Kindle Scribe which now has a huge £132 saving.

Usually priced at £329.99, the 2022 version of the note-taking Kindle has now been slashed to £199.99. You can also pick it up with a three month free Kindle Unlimited subscription for the same price whilst the Prime Day deal lasts.

The 16GB version of the Kindle Scribe is the only one currently slashed in price, and the £199.99 price includes the basic pen. However you can upgrade to the premium pen, which bumps the price up to £229.99 rather than its usual price of £359.99.

This is the slightly older 2022 model of the Kindle Scribe, but if you do want a more recent version, Curry’s has slashed the price of the 10.2″ 2024 Kindle Scribe from £380 to £270, which comes with a Premium Pen and 16 GB of data. You can also pick up the KOBO Clara BW 6″ eReader for £129 which is ideal if you’re less fussed about taking notes, and just want a place to read all of your books.

The Kindle Scribe is an elevated version of the standard Kindle, and not only allows you to store and read hundreds of books, but also allows you to write down your thoughts, notes and ideas straight onto the pages. You use the pen to scribble down whatever you want, then the Kindle can convert it into text or a PDF and even send it to your contacts, so you can pass on those meeting notes or ideas you had for a group project.

This is perfect if you’re sick of carrying around thick, heavy notebooks or are notorious for losing track of where you’ve put an important memo. It’s also great if you often think of something on the go and have nowhere to write it down, keeping all your ideas and thoughts in one place.

It even gives you the option of writing notes on the pages of your books, automatically expanding the margins and creating space for you to write them down before collapsing them to allow you to go back to reading as normal. The Kindle Scribe also has a 10.2 inch 300 ppi glare-free Paperwhite display to make reading and writing easier, you can adjust to a warm light, and the front light will auto adjust to a front light and larger font sizes.

You also very rarely will need to charge it; according to Kindle a single charge will give you months of battery life, whilst the basic pen will never need charging. Shop the Kindle Scribe for £199.99 in Amazon’s Prime Day sale now.
